From the article: "Event staff said they were anticipating more people than usual this year due to Costco on Hume Way blocking off their parking lot. Located on a hill above the park, it was a popular spot to watch the show.

Even the empty lots across the street, which are also usually packed, had some barriers installed."

Best place to watch the fireworks is the parking lot of the Christian Church of Vacaville on Vine Street - if they haven't started blocking that off yet like the others. You can see, not only the Vacaville display but those in the distant such as Dixon and Davis.

The fireworks really sucked this year in vacaville. Wasn't worth it.

Unless you can put on a better show, appreciate it.

Who needed to go out to see the show....all you have to do is go outside, probably tonight as well.

Apparently the ordinance for no fireworks is impossible to enforce. A friend called police as her dumbsheep neighbors were setting them off under a dry tree. VVPD said they would put them ON the list for a drive-by check.

People watching is just as fun as watching the fireworks in downtown Vacaville. Amazing how easy it is now days to feel over dressed. Tatoos are still in. Unfortunately so are baggy pants. There does not seem to be any decrease in the obesity problem.

Wonder why the Repeater and Danny boy couldn't find it in their ability to report on the TEA parties that were held. Guess that isn't as important as a parade and little kids.

Dixon's was organized by a 13 year old with the aid of the Dixon Chapter of the Solano County Taxpayers Association. St. Bernardoozi could have had it all: kids and a meaningful peaceful demonstration. Well received in Dixon with an amazing turnout of close to 150 people...

You are such a joke. One posting said the crowd was 200 people. I went by several times to check it out. At the most there were about 25 - 30 people - most were not Dixonites. The proof is in the pictures posted on Devon's facebook.

Hard to have a riot demonstration with 25 people
eating 4th of July flag cookies.

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Leo

Even though you usually pride yourself on being the strong silent type, love has a way of unlocking your tongue. The words coming out of your mouth may be familiar, but your sense of timing makes all the difference right now. Keep in mind that you never know how a risky gesture will work out, although you can always hope for the best. When in doubt, take the more cautious path.
