He donates a lot of money to the FRC (Family Research Council) who has ties of all places back to the KKK.

Also this should be of interest to people who eat at the following places:
In 2006 a lawsuit was brought by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine against McDonald's, Applebee's, Outback Steakhouse, Chili's, T.G.I. Friday's, Burger King, and Chick-fil-A.[51] The organization asserted that cooking certain meats, including chicken, at high temperatures causes the formation of a heterocyclic amine called PhIP, a compound which has been shown to cause cancer in lab rats and mice.[52] A 2009 ruling for the defendants was followed by an August 2010 appeal decided in favor of the plaintiffs.[53] The matter has not been fully resolved, and is still before the courts of California
So? It is from his profits. Are you going to tell people where they can spend their money? The rest of your post is off topic fluff.

I never said a word about where/how people can or cannot spend their money. I just corrected the notion that this controversy was just about what he said. It had nothing to do with what he said and if you read the news reports as most obviously haven't that have been posting here, then you would have known that. What he said caused some news groups/reporters etc to start investigating where he spends his profits and that is what has caused the uproar, the contributing to a known hate group with ties to the KKK. I was just passing that info along.

As to fluff, really? You or the general public care nothing about cancer causing agents until it lands square in your lap? If you don't care then fine for you but some may do just how about drinking your coffee and taking a chill pill, it ain't all about you.

There are so few companies and organizations who make any kind of stand against the liberal scourge that has infected this country since the 1960's, it's refreshing to see one, once in a while.

Since spokespersons for the gay movement are spewing hate I am repulsed by the methods they have used. For example:

Rozanne Barr said she "hoped people eating at Sh*t-Fil-A get cancer".

Cher said anyone who was against gay marriage was an "ignorant Cretan bigoted son of a b*tch"

Then there was the idiot who drove up to a Chick-Fil-A drive through and proceeded to berate the nice polite young lady who was serving him. He even videoed it.

In Chicago a homeless black man was reading his Bible in a Chick-Fil-A when a group OF GAY WHITE MEN ACCOSTED HIM, mocked him and berated him for reading a Bible which they jokingly called "fiction" and one poked a rainbow flag at him in a threatening manner.
__________
Because of the HATE by these gay supporters and others I am sending a donation to AFA and I urge you to do likewise.

Donations of any amount will be used to support TRADITIONAL FAMILY VALUES- One man married to one woman, the way God intended.

Remember, this whole flap is all the dastardly doings of the lib media, which has been on steroids since O'bungles was first christened. Not that the media wasn't hopelessly liberal before that. But now, there's certainly not even a bit of shame. In fact, they're aggressively in-your-face with their foolishness. And they won't let you just ignore them. Do your best to ignore this absurdity and know this country is finished.

Really? You're going to compare all those incidents where people were merely talking with the daily suicides of our teenage populace who are gay and bullied every day by their peers, other adults, their own parents, siblings to the point that they kill themselves?? You're going to compare words to the many many murders of gay people simply because of who they choose to love? You are going to compare words to the daily beatings of gay people by straight people simply because of who they are? You have no clue how much hatred, bigotry and abuse is put upon these people on a daily basis do you? I just read on another website which was discussing this controversy where a 15 year old boy was beaten severly (pics included on the site) just because he walked into the wrong establishment, a 15 year old kid beaten up by adults, yea no hate in any of these incidents were exhibited by the bullies, the out and out thugs huh? When a marginalized group begins to fight back and give you some of your own medicine you're going to whine and cry about mere words spoken by someone?
And no, I'm not gay, I just found your post to be extremely ignorant and denying that gays have ever had hatred spewed at them.

This is not about bullying gays. It is about "Freedom of Speech." Why can't someone stand up for their own values? The Bible states that marriage is for one man and one woman. The restaurant owner is merely stating his own beliefs. He doesn't say that gays shouldn't eat there, be bullied, etc. You are missing the whole point. If you don't agree, then just don't eat there. People are getting tired of being told that they can't stand up for what they believe in without being called a hate group.

I don't know why you have gone off course onto this tangent but I'll play along since I have some expertise in the field.

Some of what you have posted here is true, some is partially true, some is exaggeration and some of it is blatantly false.

Having worked in Suicide prevention I am aware that gays have a higher rate than the general population. All of the cases I worked on in which the individual admitted homosexuality also involved deep depression, anxiety and sometimes paranoia. There also was a good bit of drug abuse. We examined each case to see if any of the admitted homosexuals who had actually committed or attempted suicide were abused, threatened or intimidated because of their homosexuality. We found very few who were. Most were fighting inner demons and had reduced their circle of friends and family to just a few individuals. That is usually the case with all suicidal individuals, not just homosexuals.

Regarding assaults of gays: I don't think that is widespread. I know it happens occasionally. Since reading your diatribe I've looked in the Char-Meck and UCSO police arrest reports for 2 weeks. I haven't found a single one. I did an internet search and came up with several but they were on gay websites, hardly an unbiased source!

Since you have decided to stray from the topic which you have effectively been trumped TWICE you may now consider yourself trumped THRICE.

Read above to my previous comments where I said the man had a right to voice his opinion before you issue blather at me. Apparently you didn't follow the link where one of the groups he donates to is indeed listed as a hate group with the Southern Poverty Law Center. That is a fact, he has admitted to contributing to that group via his financials which are also available on the web, do a search, that is if you aren't too lazy to do so.

I was responding to a post THAT went off on a tangent talking about hate speech by gay people. Funny, there is a profile on facebook called Enough is Enough that links to news articles almost daily where teenagers have killed themselves due to bullying, a lot of them leave notes as to why. Stick your head in the sand all you want. I was speaking nationally and internationally, there is more to the world than Char-Meck, Monroe, Wingate and Marshville. Trumped, I don't see it that way, I just see the same idle ignorance of people with their heads in the sand, that way they can feel better about their own biased, racist hate-mongering. I mean, come on, none of you seem to have a problem that the man donates to an organization that is affiliated with David Dukes who makes no bones about being part of the KKK. Way to go and show yourself folks. And with that, I'm done, it's not my position to educate the ignorant who don't desire to open their minds just a miniscule bit.

Lol, sorry dude, wrong person. What makes you think I'm a liberal because I personally think that every person should have the same rights as the next, our Constitution guarantees those rights. I joined the military out of high school (the Army) and when I raised my hand to pledge to protect the freedoms and rights of US citizens the pledge did not say EXCEPT for blacks, EXCEPT for gays, EXCEPT for the disabled, EXCEPT for the ignorant etcetcetc, it said ALL citizens and last time i checked gay people born here and immigrated here are in fact US Citizens.

Let's look at this viewpoint from another perspective...
According to the Constitution of the United States of America, Mr. Cathy of Chick fil a has the RIGHT to publically espouse his beliefs, just the same as this same document allows the gay community to have the right to espouse THEIR beliefs.

So if everyone is following the Constitution, how can homosexual community as a whole dictate to themselves and the rest of society that Chick fil A ought to be boycotted?

Here we go throwing the race card. It was inevitable.

People like this guy (computerindustry Since 1982) can't have a civil disagreement with anyone without:

1. NAME CALLING...we are "biased".."hate mongers"..."ignorant "..."head in the sand"... etc BECAUSE WE DON'T AGREE WITH HIM

2. THE RACE CARD is almost always their desperation move when they can't seem to convince anyone to join them in their view of things. It's almost as if he is saying ...alright damnit, you won't agree with me or support my position so I, as judge and jury and without evidence... deem you a racist!

3. The GUILT BY ASSOCIATION OR GUILT BY OMMISSION ploy. He tugs at our heartstrings by telling us how much he cares for the downtrodden, poor people, gay folks, disabled and mentally handicapped. The implication is that because we haven't mentioned our caring for those members of society that we are heartless, cruel and unloving.

and....did anyone besides me notice how each of his posts takes us farther and farther away from the original topic?

Lol, you are funny Earl. I didn't play a race card at all, that is you my man. I said when I held up my hand and swore to defend the Constitution that I did so for ALL people. I can't help you took my exceptions and you played the race card. I'm not tugging at anyone's heartstrings, least of all yours. As far as name calling and belittling I do believe you did that first calling my opinion a diatribe when it's an opinion just like yours which I have a right to state and as I have stated twice now that Dan Cathy had a right to state his as well. I defended that right, have you Earl? Ever done anything for your country except to attempt to restrict the rights of other US citizens? Every post I have made has been about the rights of ALL citizens not just a chosen few. There's a country that reminds me of what's going on within the USA now regarding this topic, it's called Germany, back in the 40's. That didn't work out so well then and it won't now.

•Lev. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."1
•Lev. 20:13, "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them"
•1 Cor. 6:9-10, "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God."
•Rom. 1:26-28, "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. 28And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper."

Homosexuality is not only condemned in the Bible, but it also goes against the created order of God who created Adam, a man, and Eve, a woman -- not two men, not two women -- to carry out his command to fill and subdue the earth (Gen. 1:28). Homosexuality cannot fulfil that command. It is, therefore, a contradiction to God's stated desire.

You're wrong about that Earl, I'd be the first one to shake your hand and thank you for your service just like I do all the military guys coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan or any military person in uniform regardless of where/when they served. Btw, I was in during the Nam era as well so you couldn't be more wrong about that. But really, slinging threats online just because someone has a different opinion than yours, that's the American way alright.
