...Do you not know what a column is? This has been in the paper for months.

I think the news here is that someone in the area actually cares about their health, nutrition and exercise routine. Has anyone been to the mall lately? We are looking pretty bad. I, for one, think it is nice to see something motivating in this paper. I realize it is much more exciting to see the millionth drug bust in Fitchburg this month. My question is, why is that news?

Just my opinion.

Congrats! I'm sure you feel allot better. I reached my goal as well and been nervous about holding it. I however had a more serious issue, taking off 120 lbs in 18 months. I am there however been still loosing so trying to eat a bit more, exercise a bit less without falling off the "wagon". It's been great to get get off all my type 2 and BP meds. The compliments from the "regulars" at Doyle Field who had seen me start off has been encouraging.

Good job Southsider! I lost 100 pounds five years ago and have kept it off so I know you can do it. I think the trick is to keep exercising and, of course, watch your food portions.

I am glad you have a support system, that very important too.

Huh?, it is your definition that a local paper be nothing but doom & gloom? Sorry, that is part of the problem with the general state of our media and our culture.

Inspiring people with success stories and educating them is very much a newsworthy event.
