Zed has another soap box. If he really wants to fight religious intolerance maybe he should go to Orissa and talk to the militant Hundutva who are killing innocent Christians.

No, he wants to come to a religiously tolerant country and push his intolerant religion.

i could be wrong but i really don't think yoga should be classified as a religion...it's suppose to be a soothing excercise...right...?

No. Yoga, technically called Hatha Yoga, is now and always has been part of Hindu religious practices and its aim is ultimately union with Brahman.

This tax shouldn't exist in the first place.

Since Hinduism is a religious faith, and religious instituions by law are protected from paying some taxes, this law is unconstituional.

Where is the legislation that cracks down on all thouse bogus pseudo-Christian churches that are inside a strip mall in north St. Louis and consist of a congregation of five people, all of whom are related to each other using their mock-faith as a tax shelter?

Also, where is the Missouri Legislature cracking down on organizations such as the Church of Scientology (which is not a church, it is a cult!)

If anything, this law was written by someone eager to convert a few non-Christians. I bet if they had placed a tax on Mosques, the Islamic community would be just as livid.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Scorpio

A loved one is very assertive under the Full Moon tonight. You'll only make it worse if you come down like a ton of bricks, given that Mars is retrograde and it's a lunar eclipse tonight. Besides, do you really want to spoil this evening's celebrations because you've had a flaming row? If possible, live and let live, so you can have a really happy New Year!
