thank you so much for this. too many people think that a bare breast is a sexual object. while breasts are a very normal thing on a body, if you are going to complain about a womans breasts, then lets make over weight men do the same as i have seen men with larger "breasts" than some women.
People who complain about a breast feeding infant are sad people because they get uncomfortable because to them, the breast is soley a sexual object, and , in fact, it is the way all mothers before the advent of baby formula, had to feed their children.
America needs to grow up.
Ok, if you liberals think that bare breast isnt sexual, you tell me if thats ok in your book my freind if a women desides to do adult entertaining stripping a Mcdonalds

I'm not against breast feeding, but PLEASE have some class and cover up a bit!
Janet Jackson's nipple was out for a tenth of a second and everyone lost their minds. But if someone is breast feeding, go ahead and let it all hang out.

This does sound like a double standard RSP, what makes it any different if Janet Jackson who whips oyt her boob on stage any different than if a women whips out a tit for the sake of breastfeeding in public??. Indecent exposure is indecent exposure my freind

Breastfeeding belongs in the bathrooms or in the homes, not in public

I don't understand why everyone is so sensitive about this. If a woman wants to breastfeed in public, fine, whatever. What do I care?

People just need to start minding their own damned business.

Because breastfeeding in public offends some people and can cause a distraction. Whatever happened to just plain old rude behaviour? Is that not rude behaviour and bad manners?? Why should breastfeeding a child as a private act be shared for the rest of the general? Then it is pretty much making it everyones business now isnt it? And if it makes everyones business of how a women raises her kids, then maybe she should be responsible enough like refraining herself from everyone. If your gonna impose your beliefs on others, then expect people to not mind their own business, especially if this is push in peoples faces

I'm sorry you don't have the mental fortitude to not stop and stare and make a big deal about it if you happen to see a woman breastfeeding in public. Did it ever occur to you to worry about something... oh, what's the word... IMPORTANT?

"Oh, look! A woman breastfeeding! What an assault on my putrid and pathetic sensibilities! What ever shall I do!?!" [Gasp, faint.]

Have fun getting an ulcer when your grass isn't a certain shade of green, or the guy next to you in line accidentally burps and doesn't excuse himself. Oh, what an atrocity that would be!

And for those of you who think a baby suckling on a woman's breast is sexual: Do the rest of us a favor and add yourselves to the registered sex offenders list, you disgusting perverts.

I don't see a problem with feeding in public. My wife did it and I know there's times when the time and place don't allow for privacy.
I must say it is a bit distracting though. A couple years ago at Elitch's a lady sat next to me and whipped it out for her kid while we were chatting. I was fine with it but did have to think to mayself "don't glance down!" a few times.

Not sure, I asked her "is this where the line begins" and I woke up in the Elich Garden infirmary.

This forum was hot last summer, different thread. Sean, DOES indeed have a vested interest in getting people switched to his point of view. I learned in a poll in Top Stories from another poster that did some research (again heresay, but MIGHT explain our little troll's metality) Sean is promoting & selling nursing stations like the diaper stations in the bathrooms. His interest in this topic is purely to be a troll and insight negative opinions of public breastfeeding so his new little product might sell.

Now I have DONE NO research to back up these claims, but it would make sense that Sean only posts to public breastfeeding forums and no other topics. LOL

I should try to find that info to post. LMAO

SEAN give it up, you're a dork, an idiot and aren't winning your little fight! LMAO

Do i see a double standard here?? Why should you have it bothways dagoth??

If you choose to put yourself in an inconvenient situation where people are gonna stare, then they will, thats just something you can prevent if you are asking for it.

Thats like for example (hypothedically speaking) that if i mouth off to people, i cant just expect them to not comeup and punch me in the nose for that. If i was asking to get a butt whipping, then yeah i chose to put myself in that provocative situation.

Its like with breastfeeding in public, its provocative and people are gonna stare if you invite onlookers to get a full glimps.

Its just flatout rude to stare, but on the other hand, its rude behaviour and bad manners to breastfeed in public as well.

So basically it goes bothways for onlookers and the mother who chooses to share her intimate bonding with the rest of the world.

Again Dagoth, you cannot sit here and have your own cake and eat it too, your comments are down right irresponsible and you have no good arguement on this debate.

You dont think rational thats just the problem, no real good logic when trying to argue with someone like me who is way smarter than you

Dagoth...your talking like some feminist LOON LIBERAL, breast are sexual and always has been, breast were wired to be sexual and thats just the nature of it.

Maybe if you women would learn to take responsibilitys for your own actions such as stop pleasing us men with your expensive breast implants and low-cut tops, then maybe breast wouldnt be seen as sexual.

again YOU CANNOT HAVE IT BOTHWAYS!!!! HELLO!!!!

You women do this to yourselves but then wanna put the blame on men instead of looking at YOUR OWN mistakes like being teases

Oh, look! I warranted four posts in a row! I must have hit a nerve.

1. Sex. You are sick. Everything that people do, being the dynamic lot that we are, can be taken in context. You saying that breasts are sexual ALL the time proves that you are narrow-minded, sexist, and find breastfeeding to be arousing. And you claim to be smarter than me... but I digress. So, based on your logic, if I said, "Screw you," and, "I fastened this piece of wood with a screw," the word "screw" means the same thing in those sentences to you. Or, something perhaps more direct: You must think that urinating is sexual. I mean, it DOES involve your penis, right? That was your argument - don't back out now.

2. Opinions. We all have them and you are certainly welcome to express yours. I'm just pointing out why mine is superior and more logical.

3. Manners. If EVERYONE minded their own business in public, none of this would be an issue. However, if someone is blatently breaking the law or performing an activity that is damaging people and/or property, it is our duty as good citizens to notice and do something about it.(Go ahead, claim that you witnessing a breastfeeding in public damages you in some way.)

4. And, of course, in your infinite wisdom, you began assuming things about me. No, I'm not a woman; no, I've never breastfed; and, no, I don't even have kids. And no, I'm not liberal or conservative. I have my own set of logical ideas about everything and operate on a case-by-case basis. Some agree with right, some left. I don't give a crap about a system of government that devotes 99% of its time bickering within itself.

5. Frequency. How many times have you actually seen a women breastfeed in public? I think I've seen it two or three times in my life. Not really a big deal.

a perfect 29 cent troll you've found there dagoth! LOL

Ignore him, doesn't matter what you say, if you have ever read his posts, he is completely asinine and stupidity don't get me started on that! LOL

I'll post some of his finer points from the other forum, he is SOOOOOOOOOO not worth it, In fact he inspired me to TROLL HIM the reason I even posted here. LMAO It worked, he hasn't been on that other forum in weeks!*giggles

Anywho, have fun, take care & big hugs.
