However, it's indeed true, Spanish won't be that much of a popular language anyway for obvious reasons. You can also annoy these Mex people by speaking Nahuatl to them, they won't understand you and you'll be still speaking the native tongue of their country.

If Spanish is a "required" language, it is not okay. Nice to have, but not necessary, and completely left to the individual, not the State to choose.

When voting, you and I may vote the same way. There is truth in much of what you say, and I do not view it as revisionist La Raza history. But I cannot go along with name calling from one side to another. I am Métis, which means I have both Native American and European ancestry. I am painfully aware of history of genocide against Native Americans. I would love to see Andrew Jackson's image on the $20 replaced.

But Independent Patriot does make civil posts on the whole and sometimes offers insight. It is not all everyone either on the left or the right (I am constantly telling those on the far right that). She brings a perspective that is neither left nor right. I disagree with most of what she says but not all.

Thanks, TB. My intent is to ask people to look at things from other perspectives, not necessarily to change their minds, but to have them think out of the box, and become aware of possibilities they may not realize exist.

I was taught as a child to 'never judge a man until you walk a mile in his moccasins.' No one's perfect, but I try to adhere to that.

Quite interesting and chilling article. The author is too kind in not mentioning that the CFR makes policy and Papa Bush via Cheney runs the show. Of course young Bush has confidence. He knows his role, if not his job.

Hey, Tooth, what's that white stuff in your new picture? LOL! Seems to me I used to have to shovel that stuff from my driveway to get to work in the winter. It's bad when it when it snows in Houston every once in awhile--remember? Schools and businesses close and if the roads ice over, it's like watching a demolition derby. Can't blame them, though. When you're raised with cristmas lights on palm trees, there's no reason to know how to drive on ice.

Buildings here aren't built for freezing weather--water pipes are in attics, not in basements (no basements anyway). My entire office was flooded at work once, over the holidays during a hard freeze, because although maintenance turned off most of the water mains, they couldn't really shut off and drain the fire sprinkler system. The sprinkler in my office froze and the pipes burst. The office was on an outside wall of the warehouse. I rescued my hard drive, but everything else on my desk was a flooded mess for several days. Lots of fun--not.
