I think that Mr. Born is one of the most amazing and fun teachers I have ever had. Hes not like most teachers who just sit down and read stuff right from the text,he makes it interesting.Honestly, I think that his class is by far the best class I have ever taken. Just because he's made a few mistakes doesn't make him a bad person. He's just like everyone else and I think that no one should judge him because of those mistakes.
Your are a dumb little girl. You're probably just a slut and he likes to stare at you. That's why you like him so much

Mr.Born should have his licence revoked because I don't recall learning anything in his class besides wrestling moves. He stares at my friends and confronts them with wierd compliments in the hallways or at their lockers. In his class we watch Youtube videos or talk about random topics. The reason the other current students like him so much is because we do nothing and we never have any homework. What kind of learning are we supposed to get from doing nothing? I hope he has fun rotting in a jail cell. He deserves it. I had enough with students sticking up for this piece of crap we call a teacher.

this makes me wonder; why do people love to bash at other people? seriously, why can't people carry on with their own lives? what happened to mr. born is his own personal problem and im sure he's dealing with it how he wants to. but really, how many other people in the world is this happening to? i bet there's a TON! but Erie decides to put this ONE story in the paper, and now parents of kids attending school soon are afraid to put them in his class. i attend his class right now, and to tell you the truth i've learned about so much. i really think that if people had a heart, we'd all give him another chance.

I have no idea why it says that we live in Mentor, OH. I was the first student to comment this article, at the time there were 7 comments. It is very immature that people probably in their 30s and 40s, who probably dont even know Mr Born, saying things about a person that they just read something about. Well duh, they are going to write bad things about people in the NEWSPAPER! Thats what its for!!
Mr Born is a great influence to all of his students. He is very smart, makes learning easy, and doesnt judge people on something he just read about them.
Come on people, get a life and stop searching GoErie.com for a new subject to harass a person on.
dear little one, you have such a small world view at your young age. i, like others, have seen this man in action. One in a position of influence should NOT be of such questionable character. I speak as one who has seen this man in action. I will not allow him to teach my children. You have not the knowledge or experience to know. Wait until you have children.

This particular article does not mention that children or elders are at risk. This is about a restraining order between TWO INDIVIDUALS, not between him and a "VULNERABLE POPULATION".
Quote from article:
---If Erie County Judge Stephanie Domitrovich believed allowing Born in the classroom "would be a threat or in any way not conducive to the safety of kids, she certainly wouldn't have put him on work release," Connelly said.---
(You can put whatever spin you want on this, but that is what it all boils down to.)
Furthermore:
---Born is the same teacher who was accused of sexually assaulting two female students in his 11th-grade English class during separate incidents in January 1999 and March 1999. A jury found him not guilty of all charges -- two counts of indecent assault, two counts of corruption of a minor and one count of luring a child into a motor vehicle -- in May 2001.---
(This portion of the article is gratuitous and inflammatory and has NOTHING to do with his current circumstances. "...a jury found him not guilty of all charges..." Kinda makes your argument of a vulnerable population being at risk mute doesn't it?)
Obviously you graduated from Born's class. You indicate that a vulnerable population is not at risk???!!! I think my kids deserve the benefit of the doubt and the safe consideration before this man does!

perhaos because these peopel who are commenting care about more than themselves; they care about the future and the children who will someday make decisions about thier outcomes and existence. They care that the likes of this immoral teacher is influencing their children (like you) that it is ok to sexually harrass, coerce, and manipulate..as long as noone can prove it beyond a reasonable oubt. I support the constitution; yet, a flaw is that it is very difficult ot prove crimes of this type--yet the gut is the best judge despite written law. A tiger cannot and does nto chnage its stripes--we must pray that there are not too many (r no) victims until the tiger is exposed.

Yes, she is one of the vulnerable population--judging (though I hate to) many decades later and older has a lot more experience behind it.
