Full story: El Paso Times

It was, as it so often is in the crazy, frenetic, sometimes other-worldly world of boxing, a tale of two locker rooms.

Typical PutoRican tactics of punching and holding, this little cacahead can't fight like his pendejo daddy but he can sure hold and hit like him.

Camacho should have been DQed, such a joke of a fight. I won't pay my hard earn money to watch him again. Countless punches below the waist, head-buts, him putting his shorts over his chest multiple times, and tackling show that Camacho Jr is lower than a bum. The ref was too soft!

i am a boxing fan,but thank god i didn't waste my money for that fight, camacho has been fighting since 96,and only fights 2 or 3 times a year in local clubs and campas is a great fighter but he's not in his prime no more, good luck to escalante but i saw fulgencio's record in box rec and knew he was overmatched.

What about Escalante? You all chose to write about Camacho Jr. over one of THE number one boxers in the world, who's from El Paso?! Hmmm....

You're 100% correct. Why arent there more articles about Escalante? Instead these reporters choose to write about an over the hill fighter and a never has been fighter while on the same card is a local, world #1 ranked fighter.

When is Vargas going to fight Camacho ? Unless they do it at HeavyWeight it will take Fernando 5 years to lose all of that weight. Geez, talk about a prime candidate for Diabetes and hypertension ! Fernando, stop eating before you kill yourself ! I've been wondering where Panchito Bojado was, now I know ,Vargas ate him !

So, why do you all continue to pay for these low class fights? Even the Vargas fight will be a joke. What was his name, back when he got his butt knocked out? Ferocious Fernando? That guy should be retired. Yori Boy should have retired a long time ago. His prime came and went. This Camacho has never been anything special. The up and coming fights for Pacquiao are hardly a challenge for him (a knocked out puerto rican, Mayweather?).

Boxing used to have good fights. For years, boxing has been about nothing but making money and taking advantage of people by taking their honestly earned money.

Only in America!

Watch Mixed Martial Arts. The guys in the Octagon really beat the crap out of each other and they aren't afraid to take on anyone. Boxing has been a let's Pay-per-View everything. People will pay to watch Tom fight Jerry.
