And still with all that typing, copying and pasting you still didn't skipped all over the point, so maybe you should take your own advice it helps wonder with your skin! Oh, yeah about your question it was a little experiment of mine to see how many times you would demand me to answer your question! But you forgot something about these forms! No one on these forms owe you anything, and constantly nagging someone like a fishwife just reflects on your hostilities to anyone opposing your views. Duh, we had the same opinion on the issue "discretion" but because I wouldn't answer a question you got it your head that I was somehow going against you! I hope you don't react like this in your daily life, it really leans toward paranoia! Thanks for the data and fun!
Oh honey, you need to get out more if this is your idea of fun. Rather, you come across as strange and illogical, but whatever--glad to see you were entertained!

Opps got some typos in that last post but I'm sure with your infinite wisdom (little smile, just for me, calm down) you can figure it out! Just in case you can't: in the first line the word "didn't" isn't needed!
Yes, that was one of your errors. Also, it is a forUm, not a form. I won't detail your other typos and grammatical issues because they're simply not relevant to the issue being discussed. Oh wait--I forgot that you tend to get a bit off topic yourself ...

The point in breastfeeding a child is to give it a perfect food, at the correct temperature, as needed. With a little practice, this can be done publicly, very discretely.

I was fortunate that I was able to stay home for the first six months after having my two children. When I went back to work, the kids went to Grandma's with bottles of pumped breast milk. I nursed them the first thing in the morning, when I picked them up at Grandma's and then at bedtime. On my days off, they were nursed on demand.

The only time I experienced problems with nursing in public was with a young baby who was not real skilled at getting on the breast and would raise a terrible commotion until it was properly on the breast and the milk was flowing.

This is a natural process. I don't understand why Americans get so shook up over women using their breasts for what they were created for.

You mean breasts aren't dirty and there for men to play with? HAHA. Isn't it funny that the prudes are the only ones that think breasts are dirty? I'm wondering what kind of freaky dirty things they are doing with their own breasts to believe such a thing?

I find it amuzing that the industrialized societies are the ones with this problem. Just how enlightened do we think we are?

We can take this even farther if we dare. Deep cleasning breath. You don't see many babies in any sort of diaper in the third world and the babies don't have waste running down their legs. Babies are "taught" to pee on que. They are held over a pee bowel, the mother makes a certain sound of choice and the baby pees. A lot of that has to do with the mother also knowing the baby's body language. A watchful mother knows her baby's poo cycle and can usually tell when it is getting ready to "go".

My younger daughter went back to college when her younger child was three months old. He went with her (without diapers) and was in a wrap sling. He was able to nurse as needed with nobody seeing it. In between classes, she took him to the bathroom, held him over the toilett and made the que sound. At that point, he would relax his bladder and empty it.

Much of the third world thinks we are lazy and dirty to allow our babies to sit in their waste..........and we keep developing disposables that hold more and more. It make me wonder just who is enlightened.

We are lazy. I do use EC (eliminatiion communication) with my babies, but I am not great at it. I wouldn't go without diapers completely because I miss it sometimes. And then sometime before a year they have all seemed to change their schedule and I never figure it out and just go to diapers. I admit is that I am somewhat lazy or that I am not as quick to pick up babe's cues.

Bravo, Joyful. You sound like the kind of mother who doesn't let her baby sit in the diaper until if just won't hold anymore. I am shocked when I see/hear a mother check a diaper and say, "it can hold more."

EC takes a real commitment and patience at first. The child is essentially classicly trained to release the bladder when it hears a given sound. As far as the BMs are concerned, the mother must be aware of the baby's schedule and recognize the que it sends..........it gets fidgety or gets a goofy look etc.

Once my older child was six months old, she would ALWAYS poo, halfway through her breakfast and she threw off signals that it was about to happen. Of course, babies being babies, they have a way of changing the rules on us, don't they?

It's about time. I have nursed two children, very descretely in public. Most times no one ever notices. I cover my child with a thin blanket and most people think he is sleeping. You can't control a baby's need to eat. It always makes me feel uneasy that someone may be offended by it and make a big deal out of it. By nursing my children I save roughly $900 a year and the health benefits are wonderful for the child. It's about time a law is passed that will protect mothers who are doing a wonderful thing for thier children.
I mean seriously, people are so funny. Its a perfectly natural thing to breast feed, i mean what will they have a problem with next ... walking in the street, because its just as natural to walk as it is to breast feed, so long as you arent taking the mick and letting them hang out infront of kids, when you arent actually feeding them

I have to laugh at this whole thread! People are going to do what ever they are allowed to do and if it offends someone they really couldn't care less. As for feeding the baby, it really is none of no one else's business what their preference is HOWEVER ladies, let's get serious. We all love your baby and we all agree its you that is choosing which way you think is best but do you really want the public to see what is suppose to be private? News flash, the body is a private issue to some and in due respect to those who find it offensive, a little thoughtful planning should be taken. Yes there are some who have very good taste about how, where and when they feed but there are some who do not. The only thing you and I can do is try to control our own little world and let the rest do the same. This whole thread is silly!

Oh, and by the way. Don't correct my grammar or spelling, that is tacky and disrespectful. It kinda makes you look arrogant and I know no one on this thread is arrogant! ha ha ha

If it's so silly, why are you participating?
Incorrect grammar and spelling lowers one's credibility and decreases clarity; that's a fact and the reason I (and others) have made corrections. I sort of feel like correcting yours again just for my own entertainment and to bug you, but I think I'll refrain :)

can i say that its is obviously from someone who has never had a baby to breast feed, sometimes you dont have a choice when they are hungry they are hungry, so what wemon are ment to say locked up for however long they breast feed which can be a very long time.

You could try and time it so you go out just after they have been fed but if you are a mother you know that they usually fall asleep and the last thing you want to do is disturb them.

So as far as i am concerned, if you want to ever leave the house then yes you will find yourself breast feeding in public.

And dont even say you could wait till you get home and they will survive .... i wont even get started on that.

Of course, the mothers can take their babies into a filthy public bathroom, sit on a questionable toilett and nurse away. When public places provide nursing lounges, the public won't have to worry about woman performing this questionable act. Get a grip!!!

If you can refrain from correcting my grammar/spelling, then try refraining from entertaining us with your public display of uncovered breast.(not that I have seen you doing such but you seem to enjoy debating the issue.)

I think I have just as much right to make a post as you so the answer to your question of why I am posting is simple. Its a free forum and any ones opinion is welcome,(even tho we are less intelligent than you, in you opinion). I am just amazed at how far this thread has gone. Most people repeat themselves, others try to challenge others on spelling and grammar when they haven't a really good answer and some are very polite and can debate with respect. Its just something I find very odd!!!!!!!!!!

I shouldn't have to breast feed in order to have an opinion on what I find offensive in some women doing so. That's about as stupid as saying no one on a jury can make a decision because they haven't experienced the crime.(not that B-feeding is s crime) I have family members that breast feed but they have done so very respectfully and even at church. Your right, one cannot always be in a place that allows one to "hide" to feed but it can be done without the whole world knowing it. I admire mothers who choose this over the bottle because it is better for the baby. It is not easy thing to do because of the busy lifestyle a mother has. So the best thing for all of us is to respect those who know what is best for their baby and respect their privacy when they have to feed in public. Sometimes it wouldn't hurt the public to turn their head if they find something as natural as breast feeding offensive. I really don't think we will ever agree 100% on this. We have to remember that there are some people who are just looking for something to "b" about when in reality they couldn't care less.
