After the meeting at the middle school last night i didnt think it was right that the churches are misleading the voters in the city when most of the people that come to the rallys are county voters because they have said there were going to be 17 liquor stores in the paper last week and last night the man said only 2 or 3 maybe and what about the bars all over town that was what was said at my church service by my pastor last sunday and last night they said no bars at all if this was voted wet thats two lies from the men that we are giving our upmost respect to i have lost trust in my church .

Well now I gotta tell yuns. I haven't said a lot in this thing but the best one I have ever heard came from that Sizemore guy last night. His logic in fixing this whole thing was to not vote the city wet but rather "regulate" the bootleggers! Well kiss my ass if that wasn't the funniest and stupidest shit I have ever heard in my life! Dam I've laughed all day about that one.

Maybe your pastor was just repeating what he was told....and maybe you should have put your trust in the Lord..not a church.

I am in my early twenties and like to have two or three beers when I get home from work. But, I drink them at home and stay at home, not out driving somewhere. If drinks are served in resturants, when the people finish eating and drinking they have to go home and I'm sure that most of them will be driving. Not good!

I know I'm wasting my time on you people, but unless you have been living under a rock for the last several years, you are aware that many Knox County residents do that now, and they're driving home from Corbin, London, Harrogate, etc.

Maybe we should vote no, then we could see about getting a vote as to whether or not Knox residents are allowed to cross the county line for a decent meal or to buy their alcohol. Screw civil rights. Nobody needs to think for themselves anyway, right?

Where does it end?

Exuse me but that is my mom your talking about! And if what we are doing bothers you so bad why don't you get your sorry tail out there and fight for what you believe in.It takes a person with guts to get out there and do what she is doing, so instead of waisting your time talking trash about something you abviously have know clue about, get off the computer and show your face to the public and let your voice be heard. Otherwise ZIP YOUR LIPS!!!!!!!!!!

In your book, Jesus drank wine often, so in reality if you "Vote for Jesus", you will be voting wet...

So which church do you pastor?

I don't understand why we should all be forced to believe the way you believe. IF YOU DON'T WANT A DRINK THEN DON'T DRINK! You make me sick to my stomach.

I left that backwards assed, anachronism of a town 20 years ago and have never once regretted it. But I can't help but giggle at the way these thumpers think that legalizing alcohol will turn B'ville into some kind of "den of inequity." I can remember in high school buying booze at the age of 14 at bootleggers. What blind, ignorant fools.

You think the thumpers are riled up over alcohol, wait until the Supreme Court hears the appeal on the overturn on California's ban on gay marriage. If there is one thing God hates more than a drunk, its a homo. LOL.

God doesn't hate the person, He hates the sin.

He hates some people. It's scriptural.

So flooding the world and drowning every man, woman and child save Noah and his family was out of love? I kind of saw that as a Biblical "do over."

If the church is so concerned.about our children why has it done nothing about the extremely poor education they receive?

He did that because of the sin. He knocks on your door but if you don't answer then He understands your decision!!

I can't believe the lies those people told! There will be strip joints and bars. All the stores will be selling alcohol. Our children will be molested!
Come on people! But I guess God will forgive your lies.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Scorpio

You're in the mood to spend money on a favourite hobby or pastime today, so take care if you're supposed to making every penny count at the moment. The temptation to treat yourself to something that you'll undoubtedly enjoy will be too strong to resist, and the trouble is that you might not restrict yourself to just one item either. It looks like being an extravagant day!
