I am proud of my WHITE ANGLO-AMERICAN CAUCASIAN heritage, and all of you naysayers can take any and all anti- American, racist, white guilt, poor me comments over to your local "equal rights" thinktank and have them tell you what you need to think and hear and what to believe and say and feel.

I read the Bloomington - Normal paper daily to keep up in the news. Not a day goes by that I'm not thankful I had the sense to get out.
I live 6 miles out of town, have more than an acre of ground and a house I bought new in 2006. My income taxes, my property taxes are lower than they were in Bloomington with less property and a smaller house there, I have county supplied water and a co-op for electric power.
The downside is that it is 75 yards to my mailbox and with a 52"wide lawnmower, it takes me an hour and a half to mow my yard. I manage. ;-)
I spent Christmas with my daughter & her family in Romeoville. As much as I love them, I couldn't wait to get out of Illinois again.
BTW, it takes less time to get a concealed carry permit here than it does to get a Subway sandwich.
Illinois is the only state that taxes the right to own a firearm (FOID Card) and it is the only state that bars concealed carry to its citizens. You can bet that the Chicago politician's bodyguards are all packing though.
Get out when you can... there are 46 other states more friendly.
