Anyway a cool$500 a month to stay home with free college classes and medicaid although she never worked, will never work, couldn't if she knew how but one hell of a philosopher. She stays on topix all day just like us here at the halfway house. That guy is one of those people who is totally frightened, so he can only be in Topix if he has like a gang of people around him that he can control and who will protect him. I saw one other person in Topix who was like that. What they do is attack people all the while saying how nice and how great they are, and they repeat everything the person they attack says and pretend they just thought of it. If they don't have a gang of people to protect them, they are to afraid to post online. I've been in Topix for over three years, and I only saw one other women who was like that. It took me almost two years to figure out what she was doing. Then, I came across one other woman like that in here recently. So I knew quickly what she was doing, so I got her to stop right away. This guy is same way. So I get the game a lot faster than I did the first time. He's passive agressive and controlling a board in Topix is his whole life. He plays the part of the peacemaker all the while abusing anyone he can't control. Been there, done that. It's a losing proposition to engage that type.

Americans are incapable of looking at their behaviors, and when people do so for them, they then lash out that that person is crazy. Crazy to Americans is a person who is decent, intelligent and capable of seeing why people do what they do. Oh, that and anyone who is not mean, who is not fat, and anyone who has any self-esteem, that is all considered nuts. Sane in America is ONLY people who are dumb, teabaggers, Fox drones, head cases, abusers, fat folks who hate themselves, losers, liars, third world trash is the ONLY thing that is now acceptable as "normal" in the U.S.

That's the current reality of the United States. That's the problem. Everyone's main concern is being mean, harming, trying to be important by doing so, never looking at their own behaviors, attacking, get the other guy, dump their problems on strangers. That's what Americans do cause the country went third world a few years ago. That's the reality of America today. The real problem is a country that went third world where no one has ANY morals at all, all pretending that they are human when they are not. People in this country today think if someone talks about why they do the things they do that person is nuts. This is how low the people of this country have gone. It's all people who would NEVER go to therapy, all looking to strangers to dump on. That's the real problem. You see it online and in the real world. Unless you live in a big city, the country is a dumbed down, screwed up, useless abuse fest of about 90 percent mentally ill people. That's the reality of it. That "reality of it" girl needs some counseling. Now I think jimmy the comebakker , being a good christian and a counselor to young ladies could help you sort out your problems if you came to Branson. But I must take offense us country folks may be dumbed down but we just as happy as if we had good sense. I live out here in a national forest where creatures way outnumber people but I been to a big city and it seems to me that's where the real animals live.

And the board always turns into an abuse fest in five seconds the minute anyone says one real thing. Same old crap. While they all declare how bright and how imporatant and how exceptional they all are. Third world crap declaring how unique and perfect and important it all is.

I am sorry you were abused and the way you now see abuse everywhere.
My dog LilBud's mother didn't get enough protein when she was carrying him and my understanding of biology is that probably had an effect that causes him to eat like a pig now even though he is full. He can't get enough although he is, by yorkie standards, obese.
But like I tell LilBud, when are you gonna quit blaming your mamma for your problems and take responsibility for your own actions.

The number ONE thing Americans care about is abusing people, especially abusing women. Number two, they care about getting as much money as possible from the government and spending all it on themselves. Number three, they care about buying crap, spending tons of money on them, them, them. Number four thing Americans care about is eating too much, way too much, being gluttons. Number five thing they care about is having sex even if it means men rapping girls or women or raping girls being held as sex slaves. After they commit the seven deadly sins, jealousy, envy, laziness, gluttony, etc., then they talk about how great they all are and how they care if they are a Dem or a Repub or whatever other crap they pretend they care about to try to sound important. Their main concern is never facing themselves, ever. That's the problem. That's why they abuse. They are too weak to ever look at why they do what they do, and they are too weak to stop doing their addictions and other bad behaviors. They live in consumerism, greed of money, envy, laziness, jealosy. That's why they abuse people. When a country has it too easy, is too rich for too long, the people become lazy and lose their drive and their pride, then they resort to abusing strangers, and when societies collapse, it always begins with men abusing women. So this is where the U.S. is at today. It's way worse than that in that women in this country abuse women so badly it is not even funny. So it is full on third world because no one is willing to go to therapy, no one will face one thing anymore. That's the real problem. NO one wants to work hard at anything, higher education, exercise, diet, nothing. All has to be done for them, everything has to be easy, no effort, then they hate themselves and they abuse strangers. That's what is going on in this country. You think understanding what is going on, why this country is an abuse fest, why people do what the do is nuts because you are not capable of looking at yourself. Americans think going to therapy is nuts, finding out why they do these bad this is just nuts. It's all about being dishonest, hiding out, about every issue. Americans are weak, cruel, dishonest people. That's the problem. This idea humans are important is insane. It's utter insanity. Maybe ten percent of humans, maybe ten percent at best, are worth existing. As long as people can claim they are all so entitled to everything for nothing, this third world craphole will continue to exist with all the violence and all of the mentally ill people because there are NO requirements that anyone has to do one real thing ever. That's the problem. Everyone can be on the government, be insane, commit crimes, do nothing, hate people and it's all accepted as somehow normal. That's the problem. This country is like a bunch of enraged people who are way too weak to solve their problems, so they bash strangers instead. I've never seen anything like it.

If the Greeks were able to figure out that the answer to being civilized was for people to evaluate why they do what they do, why are Americans de-evolved to the point they are so far behind even that basic idea that they are thousands of years behind where humans used to be?? How did they get there? Having it way too easy, IMO.

I found stats for my county that 40% of the population never finished high school, 4% have a four year degree and less than 1% have graduate degrees. Income levels are less than half the national average. Poverty is a way of life here yet in all my travels I have never found a happier bunch of folks anywhere. Religion is part of daily life for most, not all. Being used and taken advantage of by smarter monkeys is also part of life. Yet they would give a stranger the shirt off their backs if one needed it and cheat no one. I don't get into beliefs or politics here. What would be the point to confuse and try to shake their very foundation? Changes in thinking will come hopefully with generational changes and more science study for all the students. It won't need my input.

Pamela wrote: <quoted text>I always say 75 percent of Americans do not have a 4-year college degree. You just posted 71.9, so 72 percent of Americans do not have a college degree. You keep following me into boards to abuse me and then post how sweet and kind you are all of the time. I already told you that you are a control freak and a head case, so I left your board that you control, where you control everyone. My guess is you are on SSI for mental problems and your entire life is you controlling that one atheist board in Topix. Since I got away from you quickly, in two posts, you come in here, attack me in here and play same game of pretending you are so nice. So how about you take your dark soul and your control freak stuff and your attack stuff and get the hell away from me?? How about that?? That would be a good thing. It doesn't have anything to do with you, really, more with my interest in statistics. All I did was to present accurate figures in response to your inaccurate ones. How does that equate to abuse? I was sad to read about the real abuse that you suffered as a child, but that wasn't me or anyone like me. Obviously, the pain that you still feel colors your interactions with others, including me. I do hope that you can work your way past that pattern. I read many of the threads on the atheist forum, so our paths are bound to cross from time to time. If you are interested in statistics, I can point you to some very good sources. I wish you well.

She stays on topix all day just like us here at the halfway house. Did I write about SSI? I don't think so. One of my daughters received it for a couple of years to help with extra early education related to a visual impairment, but that was thirty years ago. She's a college instructor now and about to begin a position with NSA, so I guess it did no harm. Why do so may of us focus so much on each other in such negative ways and so little on the ideas that begin our discussions? Why do we pick at each other in such hurtful ways and create little "enemies lists" over trivial disagreements over ideas that are in no way personal? The thrust of the article really wasn't Obama's religion. It was more about education and its role in countering aspects of religious indoctrination that make rational evaluation of some academic areas all but impossible. I'm not sure where I sit with that. I'm not sure public education should make any deliberate effort to make people less religious. Doing so certainly doesn't seem consistent with the Constitution. What can be done is to teach the principles of logic as early in the process as possible. A quick read through the threads of the atheist forum alone shows how few people use it to vet ideas as they come up. Instead, most, if they use it at all, use it to keep from considering ideas that run counter to what they already believe. They use it as a defense mechanism instead of as the powerful tool it could be. Logic should not be a shield or a sword. It should be more like a sieve, a set of scales, a microscope, or a telescope. A true skeptic does not react to challenging ideas with instant agreement or disagreement, but with the thought, "That's interesting. I wonder if it's true" and then goes about puzzling it out. A mind can debate or explore, but rarely do both. I'd rather explore. wouldn't you?

Pam, you may be nuts but you were right about that nightserfer. Like my pappy used to say "even a blind hog will find an acorn once in a while". Looks like you found yours. I think you defined him pretty accurately. He might well be a pentecostal preacher in drag, who knows?
