Hope told only when she thought it would come out that she was present when Shanda was tortured and killed. She initially lied to the police about being present for the murder. I don't know why she didn't help; maybe she was afraid that she'd be next. But Laurie and Melinda should rot in prison. And Hope should not have been released early.

I think that ALL of these sick young women should have gotten life without parole, or even the death penalty!!Shanda got the death penalty!!

If they were too afraid to help a child who was being torchered, they should be too afraid to walk the streets. NO EXCUSES for what happened and especially for what didn't happen. Anyone of them could have stopped it but chose not too.

Melinda did want this to happen. She had obsessed over Shanda and Amanda for weeks before this happened and told several people she wanted Shanda to die. Melinda had attacked Shanda on prior occasions. Melinda grew up in a home of violence and sexual brutality. This kind of violence was an escalation perhaps, but it wasn't out of character. It is good to pray for her but you must understand Melinda is a very manipulative and calculating criminal.

I do not ever want any of these women living anywhere near my children or grandchildren. if they served their court ordered time in prison then there is not much anyone can do but accept that. I do not think they were given near enough time for the life they took but it was and is the courts decision.
As for Toni L...she had every chance to get help and cowarded out of it. If she had told one person what was happening then Shanda would still be here. But hey girls run in packs dont they.

I hope everybody remembers that during an interview you stated, "I served my little debt to Society", when YOU were released from prison.

I will never understand why the courts let 2 of them out and why the other 2 could get out. It makes no since. The electric chair would be to easy of a death for them. They need to slowly suffer over a very long period of time. Im sick of the violent criminals being pampered and felt sorry for and babied. I am sick and tired of heartless killers killing, then after they are arrested they suddennly find GOD and automatically think they are forgiven of their crimes.Its sickening !! Like sharon tate killer susan atkins holding a bible and saying she is now a born again christian. Gimme a break!

My sentence for the shandra killers would be life in prison without the possibility of parole.PLUS NOOO chance of a parole hearing EVER !!!... And on top of that they would all have to put shandras pictures in their cells along with the horrible crime scene so they wont ever forget. Plus lastly put them all on A "cool hand luke" chain gang where they all have to work in the steaming, hot sun 7 days a week for at least 10 hours a day.
