L.I. High School To House Drug Rehab Clinic

oh one question is this substance abuse clinic for all of brookhaven cuz that means more crimes or is for the students of william floyd school district. also thats great more taxes for me cuz more medicaide is going to be used im selling my house and leaving shirley. i see no good future for this area even though they are now a village

It is my understanding this clinic will be for William Floyd School District students only. I believe you will see many other school districts emulating William Floyd. I applaud the Board of Education and the Administrators in taking this step to help with this epidemic of drug use.

Drug clinic plan for Moron Mastic high School way to go with a all time low point in William Floyd SD. perfect spot for a drug clinic in the Mastic school system.
You can't make up the junk that happens in Mastic.

ok first of all. teenage drug addictions are all over. william floyd is just the first to do something about it. it does not come out of the tax payers money n is for wfhs students only.i am a student there and think that this will be real good for decreasing teenage drug use.it does not mean that mastic/ Shirley is trashy because look at smithtown their is alot more drug teenage users n smithtown isn't the "ghetto" for anyone that thinks mastic is the ghetto must of lived a very sheltered life. maybe they should open a ignorant rehab because there seems to be alot of those right here!

and for "new low in mastic" listen u chicago piece of shit. if you don't know all the details you should keep your mouth shut. this is in no way going to affect anything besides the drug user population among teens. its outpatient so ONLY students of wf are allowed n they only go during the school day, and there are no drugs given to them. im guessing since u live no where near here that you don't know how hard it is for teenagers to get help around here considering that the nearest rehab is 3 miles from the town. so please tell me the harm of this? its not like teenagers are goin to get exposed to something they don't know about. teenagers know about drugs and some of them sure as hell need help. it is only fair for them to get help instead of no one doing anything about it

I just think this whole drug center in our school is crazy ! it's a school not a Rehab center ! maybe the parents need 2 get there kid's the help they need! william Flyod High School is being tooking over by drug dealers & that's no help 2 our kid's GET THEM OUT!!!!!

I don't believe you ever lived in Shirley, because if you did, you would recognize the difference between Mastic, Shirley, and Mastic Beach in your writings. You are the Lameass "Mel" who is using his keyboard to bash us for apparently no reason except hatred. We may not have a stellar reputation, but keep watching, you will see improvements every week and you will not bring down my spirit.

With a drug clinic comes drugs. Are the rehab students going to be picking up there clinically prescribed drugs at the drug free zone HS. We have inmates running the lunny bin here.
Heres a good one. The first side to come out against this clinic in the election will get my vote. Come on Vision Team. Whose bright idea was this. Next there will be an abortion clinic in the junior high. I am so glad my son and neices and nephews are out of that school.

I am sorry but you must live life with blinders on. Drugs are all over the country, in every school in the US and we are no different. Why don't you try to get the facts before you start bashing something. No drugs are going to dispensed, it is only a counseling center and nothing more. If you have questions, maybe you should ask the school district instead of just making up what you think are facts.

I would like proof that my tax dollar is not going to this drug clinic!! How can i be sure of that, I will be going to the next school board meeting!! I think this is a horrible idea!!! How many children will enroll in WFHS just to get into this clinic. Leave the drug clinics to the hospitals and rehab centers...

Our school taxes were raised 10% this year so we could end up with a drug rehab inside the school.
Time for a new school board, folks.
10% of my propert tax bill= about 800 dollars more I will be paying this year.

you cant. Just like I cant be sure that my tax dollars will go to fund Gary's marinas! Just like I can't be sure that my tax dollars won't go to fund a lawsuit against the mbpoa to steal their property. Wouldn't it be nice if we could sure where our tax money will go?

have you realized how stupid you are yet? That 800 dollars a year goes to paying retired teachers, like Paul B.
I cant wait to pay an extra 800 dollars a year to the village for snow removal. Oh, also an extra 800 a year for garbage pick up and recycling. Don't forget the extra 800 a year for the salaries/benefits/retirement for all those new GOVERNMENT officials in the village!

you could talk to a druggy till your blue in the face without metho they'll never stop on their own. so havin a clinic is just a make believe position to be filled for the school admit friends cuz they cant find another place to work cuz of the economy
