What a great story. I also experience good "car-ma" from making people smile when I drive an artcar.....the Weinermobile for the individual. www.flickr.com/thatcar

The article noted that the pay was not disclosed but that is was in line with other entry-level positions for recent college grads. It would have been helpful for the author to note what that average pay level might be. Most of us have nothing against which to peg that.

I think it'd be a cool job but it's apparent Oscar Mayer looks for a very certain personality type...class president, cheerleader, homecoming queen, sorority girl (or frat boy) and no doubt what is projected on the outside. But hey, it's the wiener mobile. More power to 'em.

What a hilarious and well-written story. Let`s just hope that Laura is not a "road hog" with that big wiener (sorry, couldn`t resist!).

Are any of these former drivers "hot dog" skiers, when they pass through Colorado?(oops! there we go again...)

I think Oscar Mayer is looking for a certain type of person also - one with leadership and organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to different situations/people.

Glad she got the job, but those hot dogs are parts of several animals, newspaper filling, and tongue of boot-they are gross!

Good for her, after this stint I imagine she'll be selling ads for The Dispatch or 10tv.

HOW SAD IS IT that this is considered "good news" in Ohio here in 2009 ???

30 years of Reganomics have produced great career opportunities for Ohioans. Reganomics, offshoring of Ohio's industrial base, BRAIN DRAIN......and the "good news" in Ohio is how an OSU graduate gets a job driving the "Wienermobile."

Most BA graduates are lucky to find any job nowadays, let alone one fit for a college graduate. You may be overvaluing the worth of a bachelors from Ohio State. Besides, what did Donald Regan have to do with moving jobs out of Ohio? Maybe when YOU're elected to the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame like he was you can criticize Mr. Regan.

So you need a B.A. to drive the wiener-mobile? Wow. How about just loving hot dogs? I figured that would be all it took. This world sucks.

Also, "Reagan" was a clown, plain and simple. I dont blame anyone for pinning any guilt on that simpletons head. He drove the country into a 30 year hole we a still trying to get out of. Oh, and Angry Young American, dont stand up for someone you have no clue about. Iran/Contra? Oh thats right, he's in some hall of fame.. of losers.

a great article that captures the essence of determination and the attitude required for success. how many of the pretentious prattlers here who condemned the story as being without value have done anything comparable?
