I've never been able to say exactly why, but I've never liked her for some reason.

...Well, why should she? She's simply an actress playing the part of a 'man-eater' ie simply learning and following the script - and her director's instructions.Put into another context, it's like assuming Tom Cruise knows how to fly a jet fighter - just because he was so brilliant in 'Top Gun'.Some audience members don't seem to be able to distinguish acting from real life!(Yeah, I know some folk might say some actors 'play their part'too much in real life - but I don't think there's any record of 'The Duke'(John Wayne) actually shooting anyone!

May be she isn't, but she was hot as hell in the first Police Academy film.

...and so was Clint Eastwood in all those 'Man with no name' films! A good actor/actress knows how to use their body/facial expressions etc to 'be the part', but it's a mistake to assume that they continue their 'role' once they leave the theatre/studio etc. Perhaps this is the reason for all the tragic endings of so many movie 'sex goddesses'?- they try to 'live up' to the roles they are playing in their everyday lives until the realisation catches up with them.Maybe this is what Ms Cattrall is saying - in a tactful way (she's gotta be careful 'cos 'Samantha' is her bread & butter)I think this is also why some acting folk don't like to be 'typecast'- your character can take over your own personality; but that's another debate!
