W hen last we checked in with Hulu, the online video-serving site from the parent companies of NBC and Fox, it was still in beta but already impressive.

Hulu will live on in our family for decades for introducing us to that great, great, great Arrested Development. Comedy doesn't feel the same since - even previous favourites like Curb, The Office, etc. feel pale and timid compared to AD.
I think web TV is here to stay, through streaming or torrents, and I just hope the networks don't drag their feet or clog streaming up too much with advertising, otherwise I'll stick with torrents! |

Hulu still lacks the ability to download shows, for a price, for use on-the-go or on portable media devices.
The service may be "nice," but not too many people want to sit in an uncomfortable office-like chair to watch TV shows...at least not the folks I know. Until "Universal" makes their content available for purchase/download and use on portable devices/on-the-go, the 'site will be extremely niche...IMHO. |

Not being argumentative just observant: Me nor any of my friends (all over 30 males like mentioned) still have home-offices. We all sit with our laptops in the family room, surfing during commercials or just fiddling around. At night, at least I know, when me and my girlfriend go to bed, I sometimes bring the laptop to watch tv, movie, or YouTube/Google Videos. With sites like NBC.com and now hulu, I can watch full length shows in the comfort of my sofa or bed without having to have a tv on across the room with the volume up lighting up the room. Plus there's not too many commercials, so chances are I won't fall asleep with the tv on either. I used to think that way too, who wants to watch tv in an office chair... but with the elimination of the office, who needs an office chair :) |

I am a woman, age 42 and I love Hulu.com . Bunch of movies I haven't seen yet (meaning they no longer rent them at the local/national video stores). LOVE IT!

I have an inexpensive computer hooked up to my flatscreen TV. I watch Hulu full-screen on a 42" display from the comfort of my sofa. The quality is good (especially for new programs)and the price is perfect. I don't watch a lot of TV, so I was able to say buh-BYE to cable. It's like "On Demand" on steroids. |

The big problem with Hulu is that it can't seem to get the first few seasons of a show. Arrested Development being one of the few exceptions. Who wants to start watching a show at season 4? Makes no sense to me.

Layl in London, are you really able to view Hulu? In Amsterdam we receive a message which says we are out of the viewing range thus nothing will launch. I guess the advertisers feel that Americans in Europe will never use their products??
