Tiger To Become First Billionaire Athlete: Golfer expected to surpass mark in 2010.
*Tiger Woods is on the verge of breaking another record, this time with his bank account.
The golf icon is on track to become the first athlete to reach one billion dollars in career earnings - and according to Forbes Magazine, he may do it as soon as 2010.

Just to clarify a bit of confusion in that story--- Tiger maybe on track to pass the billion dollar mark in a couple of years but it wont all be actually done at his career as an athlete....the huge majority of that money will come from the endorsements he has done.He is good at golf but there is no way he would make a billion dollars by playing golf.

No apparently everyone DOESNT know that because the story made it sound like he would pass the billion dollar mark in "career earnings"....which makes it sound like he would make that much from golf as we all tend to figure that golf is his "career" not making commercials.

As for Tiger...More power to him!!! This guy lives golf, from the time he awakes in the morning, until he retires for the night... Sure he does indorsements, and that's where the money comes in, but no matter what he's indorsing, whether it's for the Buick Coporation, or for Pepsi, or even Nike's, he is decked out and ready to play golf.....And therefore is also indorsing golf.... That's Tiger, that's what makes the man... |
