Picking a fight: Obama vs Fox News

Fox "News" is unfair and very unbalanced. Nothing but a wing-nut attack dog.

Isn't it interesting that even in this well written article, the big criticisms of Fox News by the administration are that they broadcast coverage of the Tea Parties and healthcare demostrations last summer which were obviously attended by interested individuals and not the organized, bussed in demonstrators which the White House complained of, while other networks didn't do so until it became too big and obvious an issue to ignore. That Fox broadcast criticism of former administration official Van Jones by broadcasting his own remarks at various venues and in speeches, while wondering about the vetting process used by the White House to clear such appointees, and questioning the integrity and legality of ACORN, an organization closely associated with the Democratic Party, many of whose employees are now facing criminal charges or have been fired. What's fascinating is that i don't see anyone claiming that the points Fox was making were incorrect or false, or in any way repudiating the facts presented in each individual broadcast. We merely have Ms. Dunn talking about the administration being attacked by Fox, and a White House blog accusing Beck of lying. All generic aspersions, but no factual corrections are presented to any single statement, article, or broadcast. In fact, Mr. Jones, the former official was fired. The miscreants at ACORN were fired, and there are now several investigations into ACORN's various activities. The Congress, including the Democrats, have cut off ACORN's Federal funding. The Tea Parties and healthcare protests were factual. They occured and they had good attendance and large support. So where are the false attacks and the lies, Ms. Dunn. Beck is waiting for his red phone to ring and for you to inform him of anything he's said which is not factual pr correct so he can apoligise for his mistake and correct his statements. So am I.

Could the White House be more childish. Stay tuned. I'd think they would be focused on unemployment but these are spoiled elitiest who HATE all who don't goosestep to their agenda. This is one Democrat who ain't buyin' Obama's crap anymore.

Name one channel that is fair and balanced. Plenty of left leaners out there. Does that make them liberal lap dogs?

All they're doing is giving Fox a life of its own. Heck, I don't even watch it, but those who complain about it being right-wing should look at pretty much every other media outlet. I can see the left-leaning bias in everything from my local news to regular programming (suddenly, an episode of every show has a sympathetic character who's lost their health insurance - gee, what a coincidence)..

We know that GE....the parent company of NBC......got TARP Billions from Obama. Fox isn't bought and paid for so must be seen as a threat to the Obama cabal.

There's no fight. This is just another non-news story item fabricated by Faux News, re-circulated and amplified by other News Corps owned tabloids, and regurgitated by their hysterical ditto head bloggers. Obama has simply stated that Faux News doesn't do journalism and he is not going to be asking for or accepting an invitation to appear on any Faux News programs. Faux News is still welcome at all WH press conferences, etc. and officials within the administration may be appearing for interviews (their choice) in the future, but not the POTUS.

Like Eisenhower did with lunatics like McCarthy screaming he was a communist sympathizer, Obama is taking the high road and refusing to get in the gutter with lunatics like Limbaugh.
