I was understanding that his father is jewish and his real name is Jerry Rivers and when he went into newscasting he changed it to conform to his mothers place of birth(PR) so it would sound more appealing. Either way he's a dirt bag!

Geraldo started his journalism career, it was not
cool to have a hispanic surname , so he dressed it
up to suit his employment.....today having a
hispanic surname is common and acceptable in all
industries....thank G-d. Many people agree with
