Aside from being the right thing to do, it seems silly for a newspaper - which are hanging on by their teeth - to turn away business.

The newspaper will not publish announcements for non-legally recognized marriages, such as civil unions and commitment ceremonies, he said. Proving, once again, that even legally recognized civil whatchamacallits are no substitute for marriage equality.

Wimps! Note it said that people were "equally divided" on the issue. It shouldn't matter that people on other continents wanted this. The newspaper is for local people. As usual, the gays must have screamed and whined and threatened (bullied) their way into getting this and the wimps at the newspaper caved in.

Wouldn't really know since I'm not gay but YOU sure did respond quickly. YOU are into "fisting"? Do you have a "secret" you want to share? Don't worry I won't tell!

I bet they have no problem publishing the marriage announcements for heterosexuals convicted of felonies such as rape, murder, pedophiles along with misdemeanor charges of domestic assault and those who have been divorced because they were caught cheating on their previous spouse.
