It's estimated 38 million or more illegal immigrants are currently living in the US.

How about you?

Take the spanking issue. Our government could interfere with it but it chooses not to. Decisions like that directly effects the living conditions in this country.

Sure, our government isn't perfect but this nation was built on the premise that everyone has the right to liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

At least we aren't living behind an iron curtain here.

Uhm, actually, its 38 million immigrants, and 12 million illegal, with over half being mexicans and other South American contries. Because as you may by now have realized, I'm sure, its not as easy for overseas countries to cross over.

If Iím reading you right, youíre criticizing the way the US hoards more than our share of the worldís resources. Thatís true, we do. Weíve convinced ourselves that we deserve the best of everything. This is a misconception that we will be forced to re-evaluate as this recession continues. Weíre going to have to learn to settle for less so everyone can get some.

Our politicians convinced us that a global economy would be good for everyone. What they meant was the rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer. Capitalism isn't about everyone getting an equal shot at a slice of the pie anymore. This isnít just our problem. Itís a global problem for anyone that isnít a member of the privileged few.

That's an old study. They've concluded that estimate was way too low.

Americans are good people but we've gotten too big for our britches. We know global warming is killing us but that won't stop some of us from jumping in our SUVs and driving to the McDonalds on the corner if we think we're too tired to make dinner.

This must change.

A friend of mine got remarried recently. After his wife sold her house, they were staring at a surplus of cash, trying to figure out what to do with it. I suggested he install solar panels and make use of the tax breaks.

Instead, he went out and bought a Jacuzzi and put a gazebo over it.

Now he complains about how his electricity bills are too high.

Welcome to America.

These are the ways of our citizens. Naturally, our government has it's own self serving agenda but they're waging wars to get oil rights FOR US!!

I grew up during a time when you made friends with the guy that owned a car. Nowadays, every teenager thinks they deserve to own a car and consider getting stuck in traffic jams and air quality reports on the daily news just the way it is now.

We've had it too good for too long in the USA.

I'm sorry for the hardships my country has inflicted on this world.

I wish I could change it but all I can do is cut back on the things that are polluting this planet. I can't make others change.

I think people need to be reminded that we aren't dealing with different worlds here.

You might think that jumping in your car and racing to the fast food restaurant down the street is no big deal cuz you're too tired to make dinner but if you run into a traffic jam on the way there, it kinda suggests that millions of others figure it's no big deal too, doesn't it?

Everything we do has an impact.

The gas that person burned riding bumper to bumper all the way to McDonalds is just a drop in a bucket, right?

After all, you're just one person, right?

Maybe, and just maybe our government will wage war on some other country to get a barrel of oil 2 cents cheaper tomorrow too.

All Jina has to offer is HER BIASED OPINION!!
Not what the USA stands for...
...her disrespect for the laws of the USA!!!
Oh, and let's not forget that the United Nations has nothing whatsoever to do with you.
