There are many BIPV solar PV products on the market, some old, some new. Kyocera has BIPV products available, then there's DOW Powerhouse shingles and even some standard panel products that can be placed almost flat on a roof, like the GE Andalay panels with micro-inverter built into each panel.

Did you know that shingles are mostly made out of petroleum and use up fossil fuels, have a short lifecycle, are not energy efficient and cant stand up to hurricane windforce!? Asphalt Shingles with solar is just Corporate Green Washing...
