TIPV is the only way to integrate PV with roof tile:

There are many BIPV solar PV products on the market, some old, some new. Kyocera has BIPV products available, then there's DOW Powerhouse shingles and even some standard panel products that can be placed almost flat on a roof, like the GE Andalay panels with micro-inverter built into each panel. |

Solarman, Do you really think the Dow Solar Shingle and its promotion of asphalt shingles is a sustainable choice? I think not! A big panel mounted flush to roof tile is not exactly integrated solar BIPV..... Dan |

Judged: 1 1 Did you know that the shingles mount flush to the roof just like a regular shingle? Their integrated look won’t disrupt the roofline of the home. |

Did you know that shingles are mostly made out of petroleum and use up fossil fuels, have a short lifecycle, are not energy efficient and cant stand up to hurricane windforce!? Asphalt Shingles with solar is just Corporate Green Washing... |
