you guys could begin that 3-4 decades of replacing it now of course. Roll out the nuke plants or something.

China is kicking our butts because they have copied the fossil fuel power and heavy industry that made America great. Environmental regulations killed U.S. industrial might and we lost millions of jobs too. Bring back American industrial output or look forward to more job losses, more government debt, and higher world pollution under Red China's exemptions from environmental controls.

Let's be honest.
If you are near large coal deposits, it is probably the best energy choice for your utility companies.
Other parts of the US needs nuclear power, badly.
If they never start building anything, we will never have anything (as many of you have already said).

I have not seen such in US. The clean coal Industries like lincenergy.us is rising more in coal technology.

Even in Texas, T Boone Pickens is working on a wind farm project in Texas that will be the biggest wind farm in the world when completed. Pickens is a visionary, especially for an ex-oilman. His Pampa Wind Project is expected to eventually have 4 Gigawatts (GW) of wind power in the next 5 or 6 years.(1 GW by 2011). Texas is now the largest wind power producer in the U.S., surpassing California recently.

Even China is planning to build 80 GW more by 2020, which is 20 times the size of Picken's wind farm.
Of course, by 2020 the rest of the U.S. might build much more than 76 GW: 8.3 GW was built in 2008 alone, which was 42% of all new electric generating capacity in 2008.
