The wind turbines only last three to five years before they have major gear box failures costing around one million dollars .

The wind turbine salespeople are telling the public the new turbines last longer but are leaving out the fact the new turbines have permanent magnets and can't be repaired.

Here is the gear box review done by DA Roberts LLC . The Otis Wind Turbine is just after 80 minutes:
