LTD stirling would work great on top of thermal vents like in finland or perhaps near volcanoes. Would like to see what France is upto. Watch for my backpack 5-15W stirling in '08

The principle of this engine was explaned in french university of Adour ( Pr Stouffs) and some people of the University of Karlsruhe (germany).
At the end the values are better than expected. The engine will be built. I have a dream team and money provided By EDF. The secret ? No dead volume. Absolutly clear thermal model ( Isothermal) No thermal leak. 800 sq meter heat exchanger surface.( 200 KW model) A REAL Stirling Cycle very closed to Carnot efficiency. By other hand, it is imposible to built a Small engine in that way. the power will be => 200 KW. never less. And sorry for NASA, Infinia and DOD. My engine is better. Dreamer ?... May be. But I need to thank some physician for the help. Walker, Urielli, Martini, Schmidt, Finkelstein, Stouffs, Bonnet, Lanzzeta, Popescu , Isshiki, Kolin, Chen and all the others. And also Ecole polytechnique, Université de l'Adour, Karlsruhe University.(www.eifer.uni-karlsruhe.dewww.eifer.uni-karls... ) And so and so... It was a long job 18 hours a day during a long, long time. And now I can dream... And if results are better than the works done by NASA or Infinia, there is a simple explanation: All jobs are derived from Philips lab ( 1948 - 1970). Just read G.Walker book. Philips followed a wrong way. If you look the SES engine, in fact it is a Philips engine ( double effect gamma). To find the perfet Stirling engine you must restart from scratch,I mean the Stirling cycle basic theory, and the goal is to find the best physical architecture closest to formulaes. We will never reach Carnot efficiency ( because of imperfect regenerator and dead volumes) but you can be very very closed. It is what I done. Never forget Basic Stirling cycle --- A Stirling Cycle is defined as that process which occurs in any closed space containing a working fluid in which volume variation induce cyclic pressure changes in the fluid and displacement of the fluid within the closed space induce cyclic temperature changes in the fluid. A STIRLING ENGINE is any machine whith operates substantially on a Stirling cycle as defined above. ----(International Stirling Community 1985) |
