If it's economically viable, let the private sector do it, if it isn't, it shouldn't be done

If the GOP has its way we will be burning coal and high dollar oil until it's all used up and then what ?? They make billions from this and that's all the incentive they need to kill any competition.

Expensive only where the enviro-nuts, presumably you count yourself among these, have short-shortsightedly done your best to strangulate them. Here in China we're building lots of 'em, at quite reasonable costs. There, you spend all your time and energy bitterly fighting for control, sabotaging everything, your "enemy" might use, whither it's good or not. Guerrilla armies, taking no prisoners. You guys are soooo fucked

We can buy as many peanuts in our prices with our money/income as you can for yours. Difference is, we can sell our stuff around the world, and you can't

Yes you can sell your cheap crap to anyone who will buy it because it's made with slave labor. We can't ,by law, use slaves here anymore. Besides, the stuff you sell contains toxic substances since you have no regulatory systems in place.

With China's track record , i wouldn't be bragging about that too much. Much of your "stuff" is either junk or a health hazard.

Every redneck out there always reaches for the handy hammer known as "it's not economically viable" as if their understanding of economics extends beyond the price of a pack of Marlboro's.

A recent study by Bloomberg shows that subsidies worldwide for fossil fuels is 10x those of renewable energy.

Me thinks they 'forget' to include a little cost called war. This a real cost, both in lives and CASH borrowed from China. We spend Billions of Bucks with our attempts to 'protect' our sources for oil, then claim it's for Democracy & Human Rights.--What a sick, dispicable joke!

Here we go again. This country would collapse in 6 months or less of no oil. There would be a out and out war in the streets. 3 days of no food delivery would do it for most.

We may get to see what will happen someday if we don't quit drinking oil like it was water. We condemn ourselves to it every time we try to discourage any method to lose our addiction.

I sure wish the republicans did stop the stupid retarded ridiculous expensive, now failed, energy projects. This just shows you what an idiot Feinstein and the douche-Bagger democrats are for rallying behind a horses' ass amateur like
Barack "The Amateur" Obama. They make me sick to my stomach. All of them..

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Pisces

Things are not always what they seem today, so be careful. Someone might appear to be completely honest but turn out later to have been fooling you in some way. Or a situation may seem quite clear-cut right now but forthcoming events will reveal that things are very different under the surface. So be wary about who and what you believe, and don't let anyone push you into making important decisions today because they may not be in your best interests.
