re-pubic-lick-uns point of view on the environment:

Wrestle the environment to the ground. Pour water all over it. Line-up a string of 6000HP mudders, then spin donuts on the environment for the existence of re-pubic-lick-un-ism.

Since there has been no "global warming" since 1997, it seems the issue is more of a concern for the Liberal Leftists, who've developed these fear-mongering scams before this latest one. They attempted it under Carter and were proven wrong. Leftist rags in the 70s debated dialectic endlessly about how to use environmental issues to maintain and expand their emotional control of their voting base. The current scams show a number of issues about Leftists... their positions are keyed to an internationalist Communist economic model; their positions encourage extremism and polarization, et.al.

Totally bogus. So you bought the bullshit?

AGW doesn't 'stop' for anything. The GHGs are still in the atmosphere. The sun still shines.

What you are talking about is a cherry picked 'analyzing noise' that is only in ONE of the dozen GCM modelling studies and caused by a KNOWN FLAW (inadequate coverage of the arctic). This only happens to the CRU air temperature graph and it is 'caused' by La Nina (which pumps more heat into the polar regions where the meterology record 'misses' it.

Please learn something about a subject before you expose your ignorance.

I don't think many on this thread will remember the 70s, too young or weren't paying attention.

The staement about the last 16 years is a time period chosen to support a specific pemise. You and I can do the same thing if we look at the data and chose data. what it does show is the rate of global increase has decreased. The numbers are an average. Europe has been. Cooler and soggy. The mid US this past summer was hot and dry. Average the two and the warmth of the US trumps th cool of Europe.

Averaging is a tool, global warming is not global. Any morethan Monday wth 60* temps and rain when averaged with Tuesday with 80* temps and sunny produce an average of 70* temps. Neither Monday or tues was 70*, so did we have global warming on Tuesday? Well not on the other side of the pond.

I think we do not yet know which climate factors have caused how much of the recent warming. We see diferent factors in isolation but are unable to put together a concise picture.

Climate scientists are atempting to understand but their work is hijacked by politics to achieve political goals. That's why you got treated to the 'since 1997' story. Every scientific study is important as it futhers our knowledge, but each is but a small piece of the puzzle. When viewed as a singular piece, you can't see the full picture.

To date I think we've found the corner pieces, most of the edges and have separated the pieces by color but can't yet put it all together. Until the puzzle is complete, I agree with Romney, we shouldn't spend money on a picture we can't see.

Which climate factors? What a denier!

We are talking about a nonclimate factor that is dominating the climate change NOW: man-made greenhouses gas emissions into our atmosphere at ever-increasing amounts, types, and rates.

Yes, we see the full picture: man-made global climate change.

Your denier language is full of nonsense. Ask yourself what science do you need to convince you if the greenhouse effect is not enough for you. A lobotomy?

No this thread is about rebublicans and Romney and their thoughts on man made global warming.

Basically climate change is real. Who or what is responsible for climate change is still an unanswered question. Until we have answers we can rely on, it is unwise to waste our limited resources.

Stale stuff.

You might get a stale cookie for remembering how to copy/paste from the denier blogs.

Get this: The overwhelming reality is shown by science to be the ongoing man-made global climate change.

Of course, you'd like to silence and stifle the science as an antiscience nobody. Hey, there are lots of scientists outside the USA. Your alleged influence will not reach the rest of the world for sure.
