I am a student in England making a documentary about climbing the pyramids, specifically Cheops.

I know it has not been allowed for a while now but I am also aware that it is still possible to do. I will be going to Cairo shortly to film, so any information on the following things would be most appreciated:

1) There is supposedly a written book which is periodically updated and kept in some hotel in Cairo with information on this subject, written I believe predominantly by Japanese tourists. Anybody know anything about this?

2) Where should one begin if I wanted to talk to somebody about this subject, such as a guide whom could be paid to take me up there?

3) Any information at all really from anyone who knows anything about climbing the pyramids today.

Thank you very much

I tried before to climb but I just reach about 5 M only then took a photo then get down and good luck in climbing our pyramids

Andy;

The Japanese guide to climbing the Pyraminds is supposed to be at the Hotel Safari. There is supposed to be an english and japanese version.

Please let me know if you find it. I am planning my climb for Nov 08.

Good luck,

I am from America. I have heard that many pyramids are closed at times. What if you want to see the Great Pyramid? Is it open every yr? I have always loved everything Egyptian and especially ancient Egypt. What is it like there? The customs? Etc. Are Americans welcomed?
