I'm not posting on the patch any longer, tired of the nonsense . For those of you who doubt they were texting, I have it on video.

I dont doubt it one bit. I also do not care who may or may not have inspired the path editor. I care about the air in our schools, kids getting to school safe and our towns ability to pay for the teachers to teach programs not only this year but next also.

Don't even bother to call Patch on anything, just boycott Patch and stop using it, then their power goes away. Tell everyone not to post on Patch and use Topix intead. Let the truth be heard

Delphi.OMG. Looks like "Patch" is one big "Delphi". Just post their lies there on occasion. Everything else here. All those "contact me to share" against those "bad guys" were traps. No more. Talk to friends and neighbors you KNOW want the best for our kids.
Also, dont get pulled into "who was texting"so much. It was probably one of their detractors.

According to the 2010-11 building reports, Oquenock received a "poor" rating in the air quality section. That's great for our kids, right? I posted above how you can find the reports online.

Who runs that website and where did all the info come from, a reliable source?

According to those same building reports, Oquenock has more classrooms and more "instructional space" than Westbrook.

This caused a lot of confusion for me when trying to figure out which schools I thought they should close. By the way, the information they presented to us was different than the 2010-2011 building reports. I asked Mr. Simon why there was a discrepancy. He stated that it was because the building inspection reports for NYS were the results of an "informal walk through". When I said to him that I couldn't understand how my car had to go through such a rigorous inspection every year and that NYS would allow and informal, cursory inspection of buildings housing school children, I received no answer.

I just don't know who or what to believe anymore. This is getting scarier and scarier by the minute. Who can we trust? What do we do? What exactly is going on here????

I just read about Delphi Technique on Google. The board of ed uses it more than patch does. Everything listed on it I've seen the board of ed do to our town especially guiding the public into thinking that theyre interested in public opinion by having study groups and think tanks. It's worth the 5 minutes to read about it. Let's get these low life hoods off the board.

Yea, that instructional space is going to be great for the kids with the POOR air quality.

Our kids. Our schools. Our money! Why did the BOE LOWER the health care premiums by 4% for retirees at the same time the they were slowly RAISING the premiums for active working teachers? Are we being run by seniors at everyone elses expense?

Our Kids! Our Schools! Our Money! This budget needs to start with state minimum administration staffing levels. THEN start to add in front of the community with THEIR priorities fully considered. We also need to know how much money it will cost to bring up the air quality to VERY GOOD.
