WTF?? Is this f***ing world comming too!! I'm so sick to my stomach over something like this.Thats awful.Where the f***,do these lil deucsh bags get the ideas, for the crimes they commit? And,anonther thing, what the hell triggered this.Did the girl give consent at first, then it got out of hand. You know,if they're going to disturb the nation,w/this news,(that will have ppl, especially parents, praying, and taking concern, and caution)you think they could give you absolutely all the information,so parents, teachers, etc, will know how to handle, talk, and help prevent something like this from reoccurring. This is serious matter,in which there is no way out,no explanation, and sympothy, who the hell are we suppose to feel sorry for,we don't know the whole situation, but we only know that what has been reported is morally wrong, and just PLAIN WRONG!!!

I have always been a fan of corporal punishment in schools. It did me a whole lot of good and could probably do these kids some good too. Kids are acting out like this because TIME OUTS plainly do not strike FEAR into the hearts and minds of little hoodlums and potential criminals. Kids should have their buts spanked by BIG WOODEN PADDLES, their hands slapped with RULERS and mouths washed out with LIQUID SOAP. Parents also need to initiate a heavy hand in REARING. When people wake up and realize that there is no replacement for a good old fashioned spanking is when this issue will be back in control. I would rather hear about a parent being too critical than not being critical enough. REmember these little thugs maybe running the country someday, so would it not be prudent to strike some fear into their little hearts?

This whole new way of discipline just isn't working. Todays teens are a perfect example of what "time out" did for them as kids. We had time out but it was NOTHING like it is today...we got out butts busted, but good...then told to go stand in a corner and stare at the wall. Not this one minute sitting on the floor crap...this whole child discipline thing gets under my skin. |

I don't understand this or even comprehend the story. I mean at 8 years old!! I think I didn't even like girls until I was around 13 or 14 myself!! And to see that up to 12 boys were involved!! It didn't say whether they were touching or looking or anything (actually don't really need to know at this point having a 10 year old of my own), but to even be THINKING ABOUT IT OR HAVING KNOWLEDGE of this!!! I am pretty sure my daughter isn't even concerned with boys yet. Thank god she is still actually a bit of a tomboy and likes to play with boys but in sports and the like. She told me once that girls "play like sissies" and a little scratch or cut and they "cry like babies and embarrass me". I"m hoping that I have at least a few years before I become second in her life...
...:(... It could be parents letting their kids watch whatever on TV. Or movies or magazines or ? But what really amazes me is their age!! I don't know how much things have changed since I was a little kid but to think that little boys and girls are more sexually active, whether in knowledge or expermintation, I DIDN'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT UNTIL NOW!!! |

I'm confused by this article... Did the boys actually do anything?(Assault / molest?) Or was this broken-up before anything even happened... The article says the girl was physically unharmed.

I believe since the story said they were accused of assualt, that they were probably touching. It didn't say but I think if they were only looking at her panties that it wouldn't of been that bad. The only thing I can possibly comprehend is that one of them probably touched her and then they all did.

But like you say Knock Knock..at THAT age? Much learned behavior comes from home, school, TV...neighbor kids...its really frightening...I admire any parent these days that has to raise kids in such environments...not only do you have to watch out for the grown up creeps...now you have to factor in kids assaulting kids! |

I know I'm going to sound like an old fuddy duddy, but we need to clean up our act, particularly the content of many of the television shows which these young children are exposed to every day. The sexual references and innuendos are getting out of control on some of the afternoon soaps and talk shows. Children are growing up very quickly watching this garbage which only gives them adult ideas and no proper guidance. Realistically, it probably won't happen, but that is in my humble opinion what would help solve this problem.

Interesting article...they may not be divulging a lot of details due to the fact they are juveniles (or LOL even younger than juveniles) Wonder why the teacher was suspended? That would raise a big red flag for me if I were a parent. |

I am not sure why one was fired and the other on suspended. But, if it was my child going to that school I know that I would be all over that school board and the superintendent. |
Actually, IME, time outs *do* work. The problem is that a lot of time outs aren't actually time outs. A time out isn't "go over and play your Game Boy for ten minutes". A time out should be a real consequence. An opportunity to think it over. Maybe even an accompanying lecture. Too often I see people saying "you need a time out" and the kid is laughing because they know that "ten minutes" really means one, i.e., the time out won't be enforced. No consequence ever works if it isn't enforced. The reason that corporal punishment seems to work better is that it's concrete. Ten whacks is ten whacks. But, even there, I've seen parents who threaten to spank and never follow through. Want to guess how their kids turn out? |

I don't know what the cure could be.
But 8 years old is what bothers me!!! I am done trying to figure it out, my brain is hurting!! |

Welcome to the world of "Both parents are working to pay the bills, and no ones's home to watch the kids". A large majority of parents of just into their own little world of keeping up with the Jones' and trying to impress their neighbor with the kind of car they have in the driveway. I wonder how many parents actually monitor the programs their children watch. This is a sad, disgusting story. It has shocked a majority of the human race. Sad, so very sad.

My daughter thank god goes to a private school back east in Pennslyvania. She visits 4 times a year here and we talk about everything and anything. She has "inquired" about certain things and I do my best as a single father to answer them. When I can't or feel the need for female advice I take her to one of my sisters. There she can and knows that she can ask anything and they will respond accordingly. Although she is 10 now, I dread the day of her first date, first kiss, and so on. But this story totally opened my eyes to what sick crap our kids are subjected to. I don't know where the kids in this story learned this from, or had seen it, or someone even telling them about it. But 8 is something of that Total Innocent age where they should only have to worry about getting to 9. I have no idea how these kids knew what was going on. I can't even imagine them doing anything for a sexual pleasure thing as they are only 6 and 8 and I believe unable to "comprehend sexual excitement"!!! I REALL HOPE that they get this all straighten out though and the boys depending on how far the "sex assualt" went get professional help. This is the kind of story that makes me wish I had a son!! |
|
|
Let me clarifly what I meant about "a son".
I mean a son as in I don't have to worry about my daughter as much. But if looking it as one of these boys fathers, I guess they are probably saying they wish they had a girl!!! No matter what. EVERYONE IS THIS STORY LOST OUT!!! |
|
|
Come on people you have to know why this is going on. Watch TV.
Oh thats right TV doesn't contribute to anyones behavior. Ever hear "SEX SELLS" Well we are just reaping what we sow. Not only are they seeing crap on TV and video games and hearing it in songs, they are learning about it in school. Kids now a days don't stand a chance against the adult perversions of this country. |

I couldn't even imagine having a daughter. I have two boys and I worry daily about them. Mainly my 13 yr old. I am one of those OVER PROTECTIVE MOM'S. It took me 2 years to let go and let my oldest have a life. But I can trust my son so far(knock on wood) He knows that if he screws up and gets his little butt into trouble with the law that he better not even dare call home. Because I will NOT bail him out. He knows that he will never be too big for me to put him over my knee and whoop his butt. I would be a total basket case if I had to worry about a girl. I guess it is all in how you raise your kids. And you have to be open and honest with them these days. You can't sugar coat things like they did when I was a kid. There are way too many crazy people out there that could hurt them. And the parents of these kids that did this to that poor little girl....... What the hell is wrong with them. They should also be held responsible for what their boys did. There is NO excuse for what they did and they should all be in trouble for it. |
