F-rated charter school in Lauderdale Lakes won't have to close ...

Public education in America is under attack. We are compared to other countries, when other countries do not educate all children until they are 18-19 years old. In Florida, we assign schools grades that the, typically non-intellectual, citizens can truly understand - letter grades. This broad stroke of a grading system does not clarify for the public where the true issues lie. Are the students entering the school with holes in their knowledge? Are parents involved in the learning process? Does the school receive tangible community support? Are the teachers not performing? Are there overarching community issues that supersede education for the students that attend the school? Are the administrators trained educators? The state is working on an alternate grading system. Hopefully these questions can be answered and posted where the entire community can view them. In the case of this school, there are schools that have the "success by address" syndrome. I heard this phrase used by a master educator in FL and I couldn't agree more. This schooling issue will find its way to effect the entire community. Students will dropout of school lacking workforce skills and turn to crime to keep food in their bellies and gas in their cars. We will be the victims of this crime. Everyone in Ft. Lauderdale needs to work towards improving the quality of this educational edifice.

You on the other hand are going back and forth with someone who is what? Years and years younger than you are? Amazingly enough, your ignorance decided to deviate from paying attention to the message in my post and try to antagonize one letter in a word that you still managed to understand? I believe that is what I call sad and pathetic. Your attention span can't be too long if you can't correctly reply to a forum post. Then again, for someone who as racist and stereotypical as you are, it must be as second nature as zipping your pants up to pee. I don't need to act as if my intellect and grammer is superior because 1) I don't have the need to prove anything and 2) It's much more than an act, I'm an open minded individual with the ability to learn and comprehend. To emphasize my question and point, are you not understanding that in this entire state, country or world that there is more than likely a school with PREdominantly white students with an F grade? It's like my good friend Demetrius pointed out, whites are more prone to crime. It's just that our (minorities and blacks) crime rate is magnified due to America's low expectations, screw up once and you screw up forever. While whites are more likely to grow up pedophiles, serial killers and rapists. Proven fact. Any replies?

First off Copernicus, the FCAT is a florida based testing program, it is not country wide, so what you are asking is an question that is not applicable....but answer me this, why is it that this school if failing? Why is is that blacks are continuously at the bottom when it comes to education, yet on top when it comes to per capita crime?

Did you also try to understand that our demographic is that of Jamaicans, Haitians, Arabians, Cubans and other immigrants? I highly doubt you did because if you did then you would comprehend that up until coming to America, English was not their native language or language they were taught to speak so they come here and start over. Yes, bumps in the road have been hit but progress has been made while inconsiderate schools kick them out because they may "look bad", did you know that? I don't understand how you talk about black crimes when a white football player just got caught cutting crack cocaine in his car no less, or how the Duke Lacrosse team all were accused of rape but due to that silver spoon they were acquitted. Monkey? Wow, and I'm the one with a bad vocabulary and level of thinking? Monkey, all I can do is laugh at that. No, my school is not at all perfect but considering we aren't as FORTUNATE (which is where government funding comes in) as other schools are FINANCIALLY, we don't have the tools for the most part but do damn well with the tools that we have. Before you call someone a monkey, take the mirror from in front your of your face. With your lack of debating skills and a decent vocabulary, degrading yourself with such indecency can do some serious to your already low self esteem

Believe me, sir or madam, my race is far from a failure. With the inventions, movements and inspirations we have managed to manufacture and come across, we have made great strides in athletics (wish you can say the same), government (Barack Obama is opening doors), music entertainment (although rap music is on a steady decline intellectually in my opinion), movies (history has been countless times), educationally (Brown vs Board of education) and many more aspects of our current everyday lifestyle. I so wish you were funny, you'd make this alot more hard to think over and you may even cause the left side of my brain to go to work and do some thinking.
