Oh,I get it all right,and I also know what I'm talking about (I also understand capital letters,but that's another story). You're joking, right? I have three kids who have all taken the FCAT year after year. The oldest will be a senior in the fall - he's never gotten less than a 5 on both the verbal and the math. Not in all those years and not once did he ever do anything to "prepare" for such a simple test. It's funny considering I have a scholarship from Barry University and numerous other schools and have had A's and B's my entire academic career. If the FCAT is so easy then why is being failed by the very person who implemented the test in the first place? I'm more than sure Smart School isn't the first place to have someone fail the FCAT. Maybe we have so many failing students because those other macho, inconsiderate and impatient schools kick these students out without a fighting chance to learn or have an opportunity. Those A's and B's you see are a direct reflection of your ignorance, that's not a reflection of how smart a school or person is at all. Does it mean they have great grades or that their school recieves alot of funding from the state to prep them for that school while their students are at risk to fail a national college entry exam such as the ACT or SAT. Smart School did just that for us, and we pass that. We graduate, we may not have passed a test to overshadow the reality that some students may not be on grade level but we udnerstand life skills such as passing MEANINGFUL tests. It's easy for people without children without these hardships to laugh and critique then they'd be crying for an opportunity to keep this school open. For those who are being such, you are pompous, arrogant, ignorant and not as smart as you may see. For some simpleton who said his parents are married, not relevant because it's easy to drink away and say "I do" in two seconds. I will no longer antagonize and bicker at the people who don't posess the intellectual, meaningful or proper understanding that all things take time. We have a successful science club, speech club, debate team, physics team, physics class, calculus, geomtry, biology, community service projects, technology team and many more components as successful school, we just haven't passed a test that has it's standards raised every so often with students that you ignorant thinkers (or lack there of) have given up on for no reason because they posess an intellect that you have failed to even personally interact with. He was demoted and later resigned pending the conclusion of an investigation by the Professional Standards Commission.
