"Folmer, who is chairman of the Senate Communications and Technology Committee, also received a number of contributions from PACs in those industries, including $2,000 from Comcast Corp. PAC,$1,000 from AT&T PAC, and $500 from Verizon Communications."
Mike Folmer is being bought. Sell out. No wonder we can't get any cable competition in Pennsylvania. Comcast buys out all the politicians. Same goes for Verizon and AT&T. |

I have already putforth enough information to investigate Mike Folmer and his office for ethics violations concerning AT&T.
This is pay to play politics and it needs to be investigated. The problem is Tom Corbett is standing in the way as he is still Pa. Attorney General. Would anyone like to learn how a Pennsylvania State Senator gives payback to a big company that donates $2000.00 dollars to his 2010 campaign re election effort. Take a peek at Pennsylvania State Senator Mike Folmer’s campaign donations for 2010. Then take a good look at the $2000.00 dollars AT&T gave to Citizen Mike’s re election campaign. http://www.followthemoney.org/database/StateG... Then take a look at Pennsylvania State Senator Mike Folmer’s taxpayer funded Pennsylvania State Senate website. http://www.senatorfolmer.com/ When you get on Citizen Mike’s above state senate website click on this highlighted highlighted pdf letter. http://www.senatorfolmer.com/PDF/2010/Protest... I couldn’t believe this myself. Pennsylvania State Senator Mike Folmer is using a taxpayer funded website and a Pennsylvania State Senate run website to specifically lobby and campaign on behalf of AT&T to receive a state government contract. This is same AT&T that gave Pennsylvania Mike Folmer $2000.00 to get Mike back into office for another 4 years. Mike Folmer you do realize your actions are unethical. Using taxpayer dollars and your position in government in an effort to get a state contract for one of your campaign donors is just wrong. Here the proof. Just find somebody that will investigate Folmer. |
|
Do you really expect that Attorney General Tom Corbett will investigate one of his own now ? A State Senator cannot use his state taxpayer funded website or elected office to push or advertise a companies claim to receive a state contract. Let alone one that donated $2000.00 dollars to your campaign. I'm telling you Mike Folmer and his office screwed up bigtime with these actions and needs to be investigated. |

Pay to play is the practice of making campaign contributions and related payments to elected officials in order to influence the awarding of lucrative contracts for the management of public pension plan assets and similar government investment accounts. The rule adopted by the SEC today includes prohibitions intended to capture not only direct political contributions by investment advisers, but also other ways that advisers may engage in pay to play arrangements.
These actions putforth by Mike Folmer and his office to openly use his taxpayer funded website and his politcal office to lobby for a state contract for one of his biggest camapign donors ATT&T is : Pay to play. |

For all you Folmer haters, here the way it is, thats politics its never going to change. At least when I see Folmer some where he always says hello and shakes my hand and speaks to me like I'm an actual human being. The man who preceded him in office will walk right past me with out so much as a nod of the head and guess what, I went to school with him. And this over grown , gangly future wanna be could not chew gum and walk down the hall at the same time.So quit picking on Folmer or I'm gonna pick on wanna be basket ball player.

Folmer, who is chairman of the Senate Communications and Technology Committee.
ATT&T has to be estatic that the best lobbyist they have on their staff Pennsylvania State Senator Mike Folmer only cost the company $2000.00 dollars. Taxpayer's like you and me just make up the financial difference, for now. |
|
None of these things you mentioned make Mike Folmer a good politician. Sorry. I'll stick with the man's actaul political record. Did you realize that after 4 years in political office Mike Folmer was only able to pass 5 pieces of legislation that actually became law. Seriously Mike's career in politics is a total joke and a total waste of taxpayer dollars. Do you now why Mike Folmer can't pass legislation ? Because his fellow lawmakers see him as a right wing radical nut job who's legislation is so far out of the mainstream that they want nothing to do with this elected official. Seriously what mainstream lawmaker has proposed legislation to end state healthcare mandates providing healthcare for women, children and adopted kids ? This isn't a joke. Mike Folmer wrote and proposed this exact legislation. You stick with the hello's and handshakes. I'll stick with the man's proposed legislation that's bad for Pennsylvanian's and attack his hypocritical actions very chance I get. |
|
Take an hour or more of your time like I did and actually read some of the legislation that Mike Folmer has proposed. Don't just read the legislation. Look up every actual mandated program Folmer wants to eliminate and who and what they cover. Women and Children’ s Healthcare is under a massive attack by Pa. State Senator Mike Folmer. How would you feel about lifting current state laws that require healthcare insurers to cover services like childrens immunizations ? How about allowing healthcare insurers off the hook when it comes to covering gynecological examinations and routine pap smears for women ? What would you think if we start allowing healthcare insurers selling healthcare insurance in Pennsylvania the right to deny coverage to an adopted child even under a parents plan that is paid for 100% by his adopted parents ? Why don’t we just allow all healthcare insurers selling healthcare insurance in Pennsylvania the right to deny coverage for women’s services like midwives or breast reconstruction. If you think these claims are some kind of joke or just can’t happen you are dead wrong. The facts are State Senator Mike Folmer has introduced several bills in the Pennsylvania State Senate to allow Pa. healthcare insurers to deny coverage for these exact services plus many, many more. How about allowing big healthcare inusrers the right to deny coverage to mothers who need prescription drug formula’s to keep their baby’s alive. Senator Mike Folmer wants to deny them from the current mandates on healthcare insurers in Pennsylvania. State Senator Mike Folmer is on an all out war to attack and dismantle state mandated legislation that covers women and childrens healthcare services. These healthcare services will be denied by healthcare insurers selling in Pennsylvania even under your private individual plans if State Senator Mike Folmer gets his legislation passed. Take the time to look at these bills for yourself and if you feel as outraged as me contact State Senator and tell him to stop protecting the profits of insurance companies at the expense of the citizens and employers. http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/billinfo/ ... http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/billinfo/ ... |

And Brightbill was a saint , right.

"What" is beyond hope. No one should pay any attention to this brain-damaged, Johnny 'one-note', hate-monger.
"Crap" doesn't know what he is talking about. Verizon is a competitor of Comcast's in providing cable competition. Also, Dish competes with both Verizon and Comcast in providing competitive TV service. Also, many companies consider a couple of thousand dollar contribution to office-holders to be the price of maintaining relations and "access". At least Folmer is not taking tens of thousands of dollars of contributions from the gambling industry like Brightbill did ($55,000 before returning [he said] about $25,000). SS |

i cant believe this FOlmer haters head has not exploded yet.. what an obsession...
|
|
Not going to change??? He can simply refuse donations from ridiculously huge companies that have a vested interest in ripping off PA residents. Folmer might shake your hand with a smile on his face but who knows what tricks he has up his sleeves once you pass on by. Especially when he takes campaign money from companies like these. |

Here the way it is. Back in the 50's there was a man running for the office of Sheriff in Lebanon County, one of the older men in my village told me that he was going to vote for this man. I said that man was sorta of a crook himself, the man agreed with me, but he said you must understand, their all crooks the only difference was that he personally knew that crook, he did not personally know the others. And I thought that was good advice.

1. Senator Mike Folmer is chairman of the Senate Communications and Technology Committee and a huge state government contract is at stake.
2. ATT&T wants this huge state contract and Senator Mike Folmer wants ATT&T to have this huge state contract. 3. Joel Greenberg, Jeffrey Yass and Arthur Dantchik, who are founders and managing directors of the investment firm Susquehanna International Group. This would be the Wall St. bankers for ATT&T if ATT&T got the state contract. With the help of Senator Mike Folmer and his office they are sure trying. 4. Since Joel Greenberg, Jeffrey Yass and Arthur Dantchik, who are founders and managing directors of the investment firm Susquehanna International Group can't just donate $20,000 dollars to State Senator Mike Folmer campaign without question or by other means, They send the $20,000 to Senator Mike Folmer using a PAC and they call Students First PAC. I was terribly wrong. Mike Folmer got tens of thousands of campaign dollars that we can actually see for his unbridled access to his elected office and state website. This is way over ATT&T this baby goes all the way to the big rich boys on Wall St. This is how the big boys from Wall St. buy a Satate Senator and get unbridled access to his entire elected office, title and staff. |
|
You really don't realize the magnitude of this entire payoff. This runs from State Senator Mike Folmer all the way to some of the riches investors on Wall St. This is bigtime stuff. |
|
This runs all the way to the richest Wall St. investors in this country, not just some Student PAC. |
|
You really can't see this Carl. Mike Folmer is locked in with the biggest richest people on Wall St. |
|
Look at all the actual evidence put right in front of your face. Senator Mike Folmer took at bare minimum $20,000 dollars from the Wall St. investment boys that would bankroll the state contract that ATT&T wants. Look closer and Senator Mike Folmer used his elected office and taxpayer website to lobby directly for ATT&T to receive the state contract This is pay to play. |
|
No he wasn't and deseved to go. But I'm not going to just sit around and ignore the fact that Seantor Mike Folmer is involved with pay to play politics. For God's sakes. ATT&T with the money from Wall St. investors has Senator Mike Folmer lobbying for them to get a state contract from the committee that Folmer chairs. This lobbying is happening on Folmer's Pa. provided Senate website. |
