I'm glad Poly is above average and has the highest score for High Schools in Long Beach. Go Jackrabbits!

Paramount High School: Statewide Rank of 3.

Stay classy, PHS! And yes, I graduated from there.

Everyone knows Poly actively recruits for selective enrollment - take away the recruiters and the exclusivism - give poly a general "resident" population and then bus in a thousand imports from the surrounding cities poorest population - and see what happens to thier rankings!!!

I'm sure that has NOTHING to do with all the Gate program kids, right?

How well would they do if those students scores were not counted? I'm guessing they'd hover around Jordan's score...

CURVE LOVER: Poly would be a mediocre middle school in any other state. Have fun at the JC.

Thanks to all the smart kids who drive themselves to school and care about their lives and future. Too bad their football team is full of thugs, but I guess you can't be perfect. I am not surprised the other high schools in Long Beach are doing so poorly it's just a reflection of the awesome job parents and school administrators are doing. If administrators would take more time on test scores rather then the school looking good, our high school rankings would improve!

On the drop down list for district click on Long Beach Unified. Click on the search button. A list will come up with Jefferson Leadership Academy listed. The schools are in alphabetical order.

Highest score is the "California Academy of Mathematics and Science." It's actually one of the best high schools in the nation, however, it's exclusive and they do bus kids from other school districts. Weak sports program, strong academics. I would definitely encourage my kids to go there.
