I hope she brings Detroit down hard. A negoroid woman with no one to answer to will be the one to push Detroit over the edge and into the great abyss. How fitting.

This Friday evening while enjoying my pizza I hope to hear the knashing of Detroit teeth, and the sweet odour of gun powder, all the way over to my comfortable front yard. I will sit up till all hours savoring the moment.

The deal with the state was off long ago when tax receipts started to decline. Detroit then reneged or backed out of it's side of the deal and increased the income taxes. Also, the state allowed the casinos and revenue to Detroit. The so-called debt is a misnomer. How about Detroit pay back all the extra income taxes they collected and the casino revenue? It's a wash at this point.

It's a good day for making serious decisions, especially if you can discuss them first with people whose opinions you respect. But make sure you've got all the facts before making up your mind.
