Can you snort xanax

id be lying if i said you couldnt physically snort xanax(ive def witnessed it myself) but the chemical in it, alprazolam, is not water soluble, so id say if you had to get the feeling quick,let it melt under the tongue with the acids in you saliva or just crush that thing up and bomb it with a FAT sip of water cause it will NOT taste good lol. you snorting it is just basically delaying the process to your digestion system, and you might waste some of your pill in you mucus membranes.

I have to agree with micigniter. They taste HORRIBLE and while they may not burn too bad the drip taste's very bad (SO I have heard).

HELL THEY TASTE HORRIBLE taking them standard swallow with some water method- I hope someday to find some candy coated ones LOL!

Insufflation is retarded though and a complete waste.

Well iv only swallowed and parachuted them,and I get the same "buzz".only maybe quicker but don't know if snorting them would be worth the labor.but iv wonder if u can smoke xanax?

my god it is a bad taste,i'm normally a stoner but i got some xanex from a friend and YES IT IS HORRIBLE, dont snort it, i researched for a good half hour (literally) snorting the fillers/chalk will mess u up and block the high so NO DONT

I just witnessed someone try to snort a xanex. At first he thought it wasn't that bad but then I started reading this site and as I told him it might not be a good idea.....
Well, let's just say I'm glad he was in the bathroom because he threw it up and thought I should tell everyone that IT IS NOT WORTH IT AND EVERYONE IS 100% CORRECT ABOUT THE NASTY TASTE.

Try taking it with grapefruit juice & vodka, chase it with a Viagra and a shot of 1800 tequila-30 minutes you'll be ready, able & you won't care who with.

not water soluable, waste of a good drug. but white grapefruit juice works wonders. snorting is a waste of time, and causes needless pain, disgusting drip, and some of the active drugs ends up stuck in your nose...so no, please don't snort. dissolving under the tounge works well also. a beer will also GREATLY enhance the effects, but be careful going that route. very easy to go to a bad place and end up in trouble that you don't remember....sadly, trust me.

I could never stand taking Xanax sublingually...that bitter aftertaste stays in my mouth for hours afterwards, disgusting! Klonopin on the other hand, it's yummy and minty fresh. Heh.

I guess I just got used to the taste. Still not extremely pleasant, but tolerable. Works like a charm though, esp. if supplies are limited. Kpins do taste pretty good for a pharmy though. my point is still, NO, PLEASE DONT SNORT IT. if you're going to waste it, give it to Gadors and I, we'll take care of it for you =)

Xanax is designed to be taken orally or sublingually...if you're snorting it you're wasting medicine, it's not designed to be taken that way.

Research bioavailability of alprazolam and you'll see what I'm talking about. A lot of pill poppers snort pills because they think they're going to get higher faster but in many cases that simply isn't the case.
