Whoever made the Ian huntley crack is sick. I remember being at the V festival and the news on the radio said two young girls dead bodies had been found. The picture of holly and Jessica in there MAN UTD TOPS will be with me for life. People cried on the campsite but they were people ' B Kerry ' obviously is not. Sorry great thread no drugs , no scams just a good laugh and interesting films some a bit obscure but good. Sorry but Ian Huntley is not funny until the bastard dies. Then i will laugh.

Yup people are silly, ignore them and pay attention to the sane ones that say "Abigail's Party!!!!!" Mike Leigh I think, funny as...I think. Was at the time, anyway.
Also have a quickie question. One of my most fave books is The Magus. Just read that it was made into a rubbish film starring Michael Caine. Can't seem to find it, link anyone?

Moggy wrote: Another great flick I watched a while ago, that needs to be mentioned.. Hesher, Joseph Gordon-Levitt makes another astounding performance, and he will likely be remembered as one of the greatest, most underrated actors of our generation IMO. The movie is a joy, Metallica + bad a**.. I wish I was more sober and articulate to give a decent review, but such is not the case, right now, the alcohol is taking hold, and I won't fight it. ;) Superb show..pure mental c*nt..throwin all the stuff in2 the pool haha and absolutely as u said, most underrated actor of our generation!

Got to agree brilliant thread but obscure is so perfect a word. You know exactly who I am talking about. The guy / guyess who loves a film / band and as soon as everyone else does hates them for being commercial. Yes iv seen Old Boy and thought what a great film but most people are being obscure a lot of the time for the sake of being obscure. The film jaws was the " first" blockbuster and amazing movie. Forrest Gump for just the Lieutenant Dan scenes. And then Joe Peter Boyles , monster in Young Frankenstein , first film. Amazing. Angels with Dirty Faces with James Cagney and Pat O'Brien then Edward G Robinson as Rico in Public Enemy Name the actor who appeared in only five films from 1972 to 1978 and everyone got the nod for the best picture Oscar? He was that good that his three film trilogy he only appeared in archive 12 years after his death and that got the nomination. So his 6 films. Come on mersey show your skill? Cause you have brilliant taste in films. You don't have to be obscure to be good.

What was the Cagney movie that had "Look at me Ma, top of the world!"

no mate. White Heat was top of the world ma. Angels is the one where Pat O'Brien as the priest gets James Cagney to ' go yella ' at his execution to save the dead end kids. He does and they play it in shadows with his character ,Rocky , screaming I don't want to die and holding onto a radiator. The dead end kids read the paper how Rocky went yella and them and the priest walk into the sunset. Made today James Cagney would escape and save them from Pat O'Brien , a priest noncing them. Sad but true.
