Armour Thyroid

Has anyone heard that they are discontinuing Armour Thyroid.. I went to get a refill and my pharmacy told me that. they are on hold with the manufacture and there is no scheduled release date.. What do we do in this instance when we have no more medicine?

I use a pharmacy in Newton Massachusetts that has Naturethroid. It is America's Compounding Center in Newton MA. They said that if the manufactured thyroids become completely unavailable that they can compound it as well. There website is www.accrx.com

If you call RLC Labs (makers of Naturethroid), they will find a pharmacy nearest you that carries their product or they'll put you in touch with a mail order place that has it. I don't know what's up with Armour. Hopefully they are RE-reforumulating because that last one was awful. Good Luck!

I found a local pharmacy that will compound Armour Thyroid. Exactly the same as the normal prescription you get but its compounded. I went to Katy Pharmacy located on Fry Rd in Katy, TX
Try to find a local pharmacy where you live that compounds Armour Thyroid.

I went to a compounding pharmacy to fill a 90 mg script of the equivalent of armour, and it will cost me $100 for 100 pills. Are there better prices at other compounding pharmacies?

What are we going to do? I'm allergic to synthroid and have had a thyroidectomy

Do not panic, I too could not get my Amour and is not willing to give it up. After quite some searching I found a way to get my Amour perscription. Canadadrugs.com , it ended up being less than I pay here even after insurance copay. It is the same Amour we have all used and loved. Check it out, good luck.

This has been going on for over 6 months. Are they discontinuing Amour or and they just running low on it right now. Whats up...

I just went into the Canadadrugs.com web site and they are out of all the armour strength thyroid.

I was told you just have to go around looking for another pharmacy that would fill it.

YES - There's a pharmacy in Scottsdale that's selling compounded natural thyroid for $45/100 capsules..
