Concerta Ritalin like Coke?

I took it all throughout my school years and all my friends did drugs and knew I was on it by never asked for any bc its a pain to snort and takes allot orraly to gt u high so I wouldn't worry about it

To the "Behavioral Specialist" in Leander TX, your attitude is typical and what I have come to expect from people in TX. You think you know everything, cause your from Texas! no! it wont show up on a drug test. well, not a standard one. It can be found in the urine 1-2 days after use if tested for specifically.

anyways.... yes if someone breaks the capsule they can snort(or whatever) the concerta inside. i think your best bet is to administer the meds yourself and keep track of the number of pills.

I once snorted a pill of ritalin (same chemical as in concerta) and my mood was suddenly great, and i learned more in school that day than i would learn in a week.

You certainly can crush and snort Concerta..also Ritalin. My advice is...you keep the pills and dispense them. There most definitely will be kids at school who will know what it is and want it.

One can tell just from the grammar and spelling that most of these children snorting Concerta aren't very bright to begin with. If this is the level of intelligence they are starting with, drugs shouldn't be an option for them. In any case Concerta can be taken nasally but with the amount of time and effort it takes to prepare, it's not worth it. Find some old-school Ritalyn and it works much better than Concerta.

If you need to pass a Urinalysis due to prescription medications, 1. if the script is yours you can just bring it with you and they will (should) be fine with it. 2. If it is not yours, the day of the test I advise start drinking water 2-3 hrs prior to the test until you are urinating literally every 5-10 minutes up until you take the test. This will dilute your urine levels and is very likely to show up negative for you if you do so properly. I passed a lab test at my university this way, because I started getting drug tested last semester due to an incident and for my first test I knew I would fail, however I did not want to. Dilution = key... or substitution which is another issue.

im sorry ya can say that we are raising drug addicts but iam sorry some ids need it like mine he puts holes in the walls destroyes things beats kids up at school has a hard time focusing has a hard time just bein able to learn maybe y aneed to read up on and find out what it is all about first cause i have been dealing with it for 5 years and i was one of those parents that didnt wanna put my son on drugs till he ended up in emerg by ambulance and he beat the shit oout of me just couldnt take it anymore maybe if ya knew what problems these kids had you would understand

Tsk, tsk. Are you really a behavior instructor? Did that license come out of a cracker box? I have a family full of "professionals" that would not consider lashing out by saying people are "raising addicts". If you are truly an educated "behaviorist", then you would know that there are cases were the brain just does not transmit properly.

I do agree that many people (parents) may use this for a "crutch", but many do not.

Use a combination of foods, behavior modification, consistency and trying which rx may work best for you or your child.

well if you take off the wax and seperate the grey time release and the medication part and then crush up the white medication part its pretty cool
its basically like cocaine but not as intense, but it lasts a lotlonger and its a lot cheaper

If someone is going to try to break a abuse concerta, chances are they are already abusing other pharmaceuticals or illegal drugs.
**Don't worry about them snorting Concerta, but if they mention that one of their friends is taking RitalinSR 20mg twice a day, and he has less side effects... or something.. I would be watchful. I was prescribed ritalin many years ago, and that changes everything. I use to love it, but now I love it , and I hate it, I need it, but I want more than I need. In school my marks improved,,( but my marks only went up in the classes that I was intersted in.. not the ones that I hated.. but needed to get into whatever my parents wanted me to be. Counsellors say that Ritalin is not addiction/habitual if it is taken as prescribed. I do not believe this. If taken as prescribed, of course the patient will not Over dose, he will not experience excessive side effects, and his sleep wont be greatly affected. But to say.. he isnt technically addicted is ... untrue. To prove my point give you son or daughter their ritalin, concerta, dex,or whatever as prescribed,, also give it to them on weekends, after 6 months, tell them that they wont get it one day a week on the weekend. Watch how they react. Their body has adapted to it, the now dont feel right without it, they are upset, irratated, anxious, and generally unhappy. So basically taken as prescribed is still an addiction, but it is safe.... unless they run out then they will crave it... even it was taken as prescribed guaranteed.

I am in no way saying that prescription stimulants aren't dangerous, they are often abused, they can cause heart attack, high blood pressure, etc. And they can be the start of a powerful drug addiction that leads to desire to take stronger drugs. ie. coke, meth, etc.

There is nothing cool about concerta. I've been on it for 5 years. ive done alot of other shit also. 4uck concerta. i mean its a great tool if used correctly, but as far as recreational value there is none.

I know. Of course, if you have been prescribed concerta for years, it will work. Of course , it will work... problem .. for me.. is ...... abuse mentality. Even though Everyone would benefit a hell of a lot more , if they just took their meds as prescribed, that is not the case because I'm an idiot.

Is concerta the most effective treatment you have have so far?

Junkies do inject Ritalin alot where I live... Wouldnt that be considered a rock bottom....?

nik is an idiot. If I saw a bottle of concerta, or even a pill, i'd steal it in a second. Adderall and Concerta both give the same feeling cocaine gives, but coke only last around 30 minutes...

regulate your kids medicine, don't just give it all to them, give them one a day, keep the rest locked up.

or you can allow it to be stollen from them... your choice

Just a note.... My son is doing very well in school now, great grades and does not act up now while in class, we do not make him take it on the weekend and boy can you notice a difference, but hey, the weekends are for him to enjoy.

Its the same active ingredient. Concerta is just time released, which causes it to have less severe side effects.
