In female patients with hair secondary to drugs (methotrexate) ...

I'm a female in my sixties and began to experience hair loss after using DHEA, which I thought was a harmless over the counter herbal supplement. It's actually a human growth hormone. I took it briefly about l0 or 12 yrs ago, but it's irreversable,one just keeps losing hair. On the advice of my hairdresser, who uses Rogaine regularly, I bought and applied it for three weeks in early Nov., 2005, assuming it would either grow back hair or do nothing. I was very wrong. I had extreme loss of hair from the Rogaine and it's continued, sorry to say. I'm very self concious of my thin hair & so regret using Rogaine for Women.

Have you tried taking biotin, meditating, reducing cholesterol, applying herbals packs to the scalp, massaging the scalp, using aloe vera instead of hair gel, Cleansing and Detoxification, and exercising?

It can't hurt and most of these Remedies are free or cheap.
