I find some information about Methotrexate (Rheumatrex) at http://methotrexates.com There is description of side effects, dosage, using of this medicine. Hope it will be useful.

Hi,
I've been taking methotrexate and predisone (5mg per day) for about 4 months now and about 2 weeks ago my rheumatologist increased my dosage from 14.5 mg to 18.5 mg however it has not been working as well as when I first started. I'm in terrible pain now and all my symptoms; morning stiffness, swelling and inflammation have returned. I'm also on latent TB medication which also affects the liver. I'm worried about this and wish to discontinue methotrexate. Any advice or opinion on this?? |

by the way, my rheumatologist is planning to put me on Enbrel or Humira after I complete my TB medication which is in about 8 months but I know MTX is strong medication so why take it when it's not helping me...
