Tretinoin Gel (retin A)

Hey I was wondering if this stuff works to removing fat scars. i have a nasty scar on my back and i was wondering if this will remove it.

I have only read that it is for the treatment of acne. I'm not sure how this would work on scars.
Over-the-counter scar cream is widely available, but it isn't likely to produce significant results. Although scar cream may help reduce the appearance of some scars, results vary — and no scar can be completely erased. If you're concerned about the appearance of a scar, ask your doctor about other treatment options. Possibilities may include prescription corticosteroid creams, silicone-based products, laser treatment, or collagen or steroid injections.

I have been using 0.05% trtinoin cream along with obaji nuderm skin care since a week for acne and for resurfacing the skin. my acne was not all that bad but my skin is kind of uneven. after using it for a week my skin is crazy dry, its peeling and its red and burning as hell that it hurts. so i am going to skip the tretinoin cream tonight. has anyone has this kind of experience and what should i expect after this. I really need my skin to get all nice and pretty by may first week. is this possible? also, i started breaking out after using it but it looks like its getting undercontrol again. i used tretinoin on my chest also but have used it only thrice and now my skin is dark red there as if its burnt. I am not going to put it ever again there but my concern is if that reddness will go away or will it leave a mark. what should i do and expect next.
am planning on doing tretinoin on face on alternate days for a week at least from now on. any advice, anyone?

tretinoin 0.05 is not a light medication. It's totally normal to peel,make your skin more red, itchy,flaky etc. But that conditions should tone down after 2 weeks. On the other hand every skin is different and it may be more then 2 weeks for some. For my skin i remember the flakiness and redness subdued after 2-3 weeks. If it is unbearable then you should try using it every second day, but not stop totally(that's what doc's recomend)

I use Retin-A (usually order at http://totaldrugs24.com/item/retin-a_0.05_.ht... ). It really helps me in treatment.

Oh My, I have been using the Obaji skin care system with the Tretinoin (Retin-A) for about 4 weeks now and oh my goodness, my face got so bad, it looked like I was sun buried and peeling. I look like a hot mess and I broke out like crazy. My concern is if I stay on the system will my face get better.
