adipex is helping me lose alot of weight!!!!

I have been on Adipex since late July. My doctor prescribed it to help boost weight loss after a thyroidectomy. I had been holding at around 200 lbs for the past nine years, since starting adipex I am down over 30 lbs. I have an obsessive personality, so I choose not to keep a scale in my home, but I go back in 10 days to find out how much I have lost in total this month... I love the prescription, and like Beth said, the generic was WAY cheaper than other OTC weight loss solutions I have tried in the past. It does take a heck of a lot of commitment though, it's not as though you can begin taking it, eat the same as you did, and expect to see the dramatic results that others have. I am curious in regards to any experiences anyone has AFTER the pills?

I have been on and off of it for years, I think a lot of it depends on the length of time you were on it in my experience. If I were to take it for about three months, then decide to take a break from it...I will initially gain a few pounds back, but that is it. I can usually maintain it. Then over time, I do find it coming back. I had the same problem as you though with the thyroid. I have known many that can keep it off. I do think you need to take it for a few months though to get to your goal weight and maintain.

I started taking the generic Adipex this past Monday, Sept. 28. I am down 3# already. I stick to 12-1300 healthy calories. I believe protein and fiber are th answers! I have lso been doing 2 miles on the elliptical and some strength training. After supper, I try to drag my husband on a mile walk around our block. I have had lots of energy. In fact, Tuesday morning, boing- wide awake at 4 am! So watched tv and played on the computer. When kids and husband left for work, I moved out every bit of furniture from the living room and steam cleaned the floor, washed walls, and then put it all back. I stayed energized till 10:30 pm! I do split the tablet- take half in the morning, an hour before breakfast, then the other half about 1 pm. Have a great day my fellow adipexers!!
