I have had fibromyalgia for a long time. Before they knew what it was. I am always looking for things that are helpful.

it is a side effect of depression, inactivity, etc. and they just lump the sxs together and call it fibromyalgia. Improve the depression and inactivity and fibro improves or goes away.

Sorry to say, that is just not true. Not sure where you get your info but I was and had been for years actively involved in softball, work and raising my kids when I was first diagnosed. It's people like you that make patients like us have a harder time living with this debilitating illness.

Low impact exercises and therapy pools are best. Can't always afford the warm water therapy pools but if you can or insurance will pay for them, they seem to help the most. Also, low intakes of sugar make a world of difference. Treat yourself as diabetic and you should notice a difference in your energy levels. Best of wishes to you.

Sorry! strongly disagree. I have a healthy and active lifestyle (even look 10 years younger than I am) and I do not suffer from any form of depression.

I have had fibromyalgia for 14 years, I am now 35. During the years I have had remissions and at the age of 35 ran a marathon. I am no longer able to work due to pain, fatigue, insomnia and other auto immune diseases. I have found that DIET IS KEY to feeling as good as possible. Eliminate processed and packaged foods and make 80% of your diet lean meats, vegetables and fruits. I also try to stick to organic when possible. My mantra has become use it or lose it. The less I do the less I am able to do. Keep active even if it means just getting outside to walk a couple of blocks. Good luck to all and God bless!

Hey Sharon did you ever get checked for lymes. This is one of the symptoms of this. This disease is usually the last thing they will look for. And it mimics alot of pain related symptoms.

Hey Guys, I think I got Fibro Mi when I was younger, I got juvenile arthritis at 10, and suffered from insomnia from early on. Later in the 7o's and early 8o's the economy was horrible just awful and I started cleaning other people's houses, working just so hard, not eating well, busy, so I ate alot of sweets and drive thru junk just to keep going. And,I agree that processed foods, packaged foods,{ Malnutrition} and not long enough sleep sessions are triggers for attacks, and may even cause the disease in the first place.

I have had fibro for more years then I can remember, I tried eating healthier, it did not work for me. I only eat lean meats, lots of fresh fruit and vegi's, walk at least five miles a day and am very active.

I am in more pain now then ever before, have just learned to deal with it,it will never go away.

First of all, Fibro was completely made up as Dr's were tired of having to listen to crazy women go on and on.
Now they just hand out the Lyrica, Neurotin, Lidoderm patches, Lexapro and the hydro 10mgs. Hoping to be rid of them for the next 90 days. Wow what a bunch of loons. I know I treat them.

I had a lady last week with oozing sore covering her lower extremeties who claimed up and down it was lupus. And demanded that she get disability. Turns out she had a severe case of scabies. Truly disgusting stuff.

Computer ate my book sized post, catch you later pose doctor. If ya dont have anythng good to say, dud, dont talk to cpp's patients afflicted with this and tell em how it is. You know nothing as cramer would say. Ive had it 30 years and its gotten progressively worse.
got it, when IT didnt exist. Probably BORN with it, but an injury made it manifest itself, while I was in the Military. yes I'm a woman and no I didn't get service connected disability. 19 years old and it has plagued me CONSTANTLY since. I am about to be 49. Under these circumstances would that make YOU or Most people in to a nice, cheerful bright sunny personality. Being a Christian and forced to lie to get ANYTHING for it. Thats why I have a REAL problem with liars DOCTOR, because for YEARS I was forced to BE A LIAR, when it was against everything I stood for./Can you imagine trying to make up for that with the Lord. Ya dont, ya figure, well I'm a sinner anyway, so why not be just a tad bit "badder", cause you are scewed one way or another, when it comes to all things Christain. Yes I ACTED OUT. Woulsd I have, if it hadn't been for this medical problem, it's more likely than not that NO I would not have. Very depressing, this. Yes I have a real problem with lying, because I was a liar for many years, out of necessity, then a drug seeker liar or not. It was ALL bad. I worked till i couldnt any more, this took away my sense of value, never finished college or anything else I started. Loser, it screamed when it took away my career in the Military and jobs as well. Twenty six years of marraige. In the beggining it (the progressive disease) was not nearly as bad, manifestation wise or debilitating, as it is now. marital dificulties, that can be traced back to this crap, if ya look hard enough, oh yessiree Buddy! MY MARRAIGE, MY LIFE! Who the heck would ask for that, Dr. Snake oil. Peddle your tom foolery elsewhere, we are not amused. Real, you bet your arse it real, and it stole my life. I want it Back, but that's not how it works Doc. Thems some sour lemons, nobody wants lemonade from that. Oh and Bite Me! Sincerely, Mysticcherokee

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Pisces

Having to bow down to convention or limitations is enough to make you want to scream right now, and you'll do your utmost to rebel in any way you can. Be careful about this because you could easily get on the wrong side of someone who has power or authority over you. It feels as though you're battling with forces that want to keep you under control, and you don't like it one bit.
