That's the number one law of FDA: prescribe drugs.
Why not invest in natural cures?

Part of it is because of all these overseas pharmacies dishing it out without a consultation. valuescripts.net is the way to go. |

ok listen up people, EVERY single antidepressant out there has the possibilty of suicide risks. yes it seems ironic that it could make someone who is already depressed even worse. Basically you should constantly monitor people on new meds or new doses of meds. And it takes time for doctors to find the right dose, the right combination, and the right medicine. It can be extremely tricky, no human brain is the same, thus we all react differently to everything. when you are on a new med it really helps to keep a daily log of how you feel every day so you can tell your doctor accurate history and remember it yourself. Keep trying. And dont give up on something too fast, it can take a couple weeks or months to work properly in your system. Although if its not seeming to help you after 6 months its probably time to try something new.

you all have very good points, thanks. i believe antidepressants are definetly not for everyone, if you can go natural as possible thats always ideal. There is therapy, Vitamin B12, acupuncture, massage techniques, all kinds of things. but if you have to go on an antidepressant please just do it carefully. Its good if you have family or friends that can help monitor you, getting on meds, changing doses, and getting off of them can be very tricky and scary. Personally i hate the drug companies, but unfortunately i've tried almost every antidepressant out there. I do agree with niki, everyone reacts differently. for example...paxil made me bland, lexapro made me cranky and gain weight, cymbalta made me worse, abilify made me restless, prozac didnt do anything, lamictal made me dizzy & drowsy, effexor made me manic and psycho...the list goes on but it doesnt mean you will have those effects. I am currently on Emsam, an MAOI patch. Its really strong but i guess thats what i needed because m life has improved quite a bit. there are always risks, there are usually side effects...medication isnt perfect. actually sometimes it pretty much just sucks. but its probably worth taking if it can save your life. Take it slow and be cautious.

I'm down to 2.5mg and going through terrible w/d. It's take me over 2 months to get to this point. I'm determined to be free from this. I want my clear head back.

I am currently taking paxil and the symptoms you have described about crying spells and snapping when off is so me. I don't like feeling like 2 different people on and off the drug. I have been out for 4 days and my cloud seems greater. I am really considering driving myself into Crisis......

Hey Cathy,
The last time I started taking Paxil, I believe that it messed up my head so much that I took a 357 and started playing Russian Roulette with it. Someone eventually called 911 and they came and put me a place where I could not do that anymore. I don't trust Paxil. |

Just another warning that the pharm. companies are killing people. Have you ever heard of a drug dispenced by a doctor actually cure an illness? They kick-back to the doctors so they push their dope "legally".

At least you all here that are trying to get help are actually TRYING to get help.
Those others that are pushing some kind of agenda are not helping. Good to read that people having compications are seeing that they might need to ease their way off this drug and continue treatment in some other form. Depression is a battle but you just try to win the battle everyday not the war. Just fight it one day at a time. And give yourself a break-you are trying-after all. Nobodys perfect and those that say they are or that know the ONLY cure--are just a pain in the you know what. |

For anyone who has taken Paxil and has experienced birth defects or suicidal or other negative side effects, you should know there is legal action you can take, and compensation being awarded.
You can find a link to a free Paxil lawsuit consultation form on this article here http://www.articlesbase.com/personal-injury-a... |
