Hello Again Everybody, i have a couple of things regarding Opana and Roxicodone.
Here is the deal, i have been prescribed Roxicodone 30s for a while now, my PM Doc give`s me max amount wich is 210pcs,plus soma, now my tolerance and pain are pretty high and my pain seems to get wors and wors each month, and my PM Doc wont go over, and he also do not likes to prescribe Methadone w Roxies, i personaly think they would help couse i used to take em for ER,i mean helps w pain and has long life and most important they are cheap,
Now my question is, i heard and i have been reading about Opana, wich suposed to be stronger then roxicodone 30mg, so i m planing to ask my doc to put me on Opanas instead of Roxicodone couse, like i said, tolerance and pain,so i wanted to know are PM dOCS are cormftable prescribing Opanas when Roxies dont work anymore and are they more expencive then Roxicodones per piece??
Thanx, any coments would help
Max

Its really up to the doctor! I would change doctors ASAP! Your doctor is letting the law pick your meds and not his training

Opana is more expensive by far, if you are already taking roxi's you will not like opana, I am sure of this. An opana er baseline with 15mgs roxi or perc's for breakthrough is common. I wouldn't do a total switch if I were you..I garuntee you, you will suffer some WD"S on a total switch...from roxi to opana...P

Yeah but very few doctors want to prescribe Opana with roxies I think. Hell Id say ask the man if you can just stay with the roxies and do methadone or low doses of Oxy ER for something to give you long release

Thanx everybody for your coments and opinions, now, im just little bit confused Licit u said that Opana ER is weaker then roxicodone, and i heard is 3 times more potent, now i m kind a lost whats truth, I dont know if i said it right but i was thinking about roxymorphone IR wich is 3 times stronger, what is the name of that medication? or How about Dilaudid or something?
And as far as Oxycontin er goes i do not have insurance, so i can not afford it.
Damn looks like there is nothing out there that is affordable and stronger for pain then roxicodone30s.
Tnx,

I take opana 40mgER tid and oxycodone 15mg qid and it works very well for me. I have recently been able to cut out the oxy but it seems to be a good combo when I need it. The opana is quite expensive. I have taken the ER and the IR but would have never been able to do so without insurance. 90 40's cost around $975 and the 10mg opana's cost me around $870 for 120 of them.
Hope this helps..

I've been really confused. I'm used 30mg OxycodoneIR - up to maybe 60mg a day?

I know how OC80's compare, I've tried them.

I have tried Morphine Sulfate 60mg ER, and even when I take up to 4 at a time, I really don't feel relief. I've felt a buzz when I take more than enough 30mgIR or half of an OC80...

But, I have no idea how OP80's or any of the mg. compare...

And I definitely have NO idea how Opana compares.

I heard conflicting things about how OP's suck, Opana is 3 times stronger than 30mgIR Roxi's, that they don't do anything... etc etc etc.

I know they affect people all different ways, but sometimes I wonder if I'm taking the correct medication. Its very easy to get a tolerance to the 30's, as I've been noticing lately.

Just curious if anyone has any input. Thanks!

Hi Makeup, I have been on one form of Opana or another for years now and can't speak highly enough about the way it helps keep my pain at a tolerable level. I have always been on the Opana40mgER tabs but the insurance I had last year, wouldn't cover the ir Opana so I have been taking the oxy30's. They now have a generic form of the OpanaIR so it is now covered by my insurance. It is such an epensive drug, my 90 40's cost approx.$985 and the 120 10mgIR's cost right around $970. I often hear that they don't give the euphoric feeling that oxy does and all I can say about that is that if you are truly looking for pain control, Opana works very well for me. Best of Luck...Gio

I have been doing Oxy's and Roxi's for years and last night I done a half of a opana 40 and it was like doing 2 80mg Oxycontin's. And I also suffer from constant pain in my legs and back. So take it from someone who really knows a lot about all medications. But if you done one Opana 40mg. It would be like doing 4 Oxy 80s. So if he will switch you go for it!!!!!!!!!!

The Opana is the strongest opiate I have ever taken. I was an heroine addict for years and when Opana is taken the wrong way ( shaving the coating and snorting the pill), it has a EXTREMELY higher bioavailability compared to swallowing it. The high and pain relief is stronger than most heroine found on the streets these days. Im not saying to start abusing Opana, but it is def the strongest out there. All other pain medicines became obsolete.
Also talk to your PM Doc about Fentanyl

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Libra

It's one of those difficult days when anything can and will happen. Someone you were relying on might let you down, plans could be changed at the eleventh hour or a machine could go on the blink. To make matters worse, your energy levels are very erratic, so you feel full of beans one minute and ready to go to sleep the next. Don't make the situation worse by eating foods that give you a high followed by a slump.
