Oxcycodone is the drug itself, and oxcycontin is the NAME of the drug.

The differance is Oxcycodone is what I use as fast acting pain killer, short term pain killer and Oxycycontin is a time released pain killer in order to release the drug in little amounts over a period of time, this is used to maintain pain relief. Hope that helps

I have a question for everyone. What kind of syringe is best to use for injecting oxys? I have used the 100cc ones, but have never had to get them from the pharmacy cus my friends always had them. What exactly do I ask for, and can i buy as little as 10?

I am a chemist. Let me explain it right;

oxycodone is the name of the chemical that we love. Oxycontin is a brand name for a time relase pill that contains oxycodone. The pill is made so that the active ingredient (oxycodone) releases slowly over 12 hours. When you take regular or immediate relases oxycodone (brand name Roxicodone) the drug absorbs quickly, is metabolized, and the effects are mostly over with in about 3-4 hours (longer or shorter depending on your physiology).

Obviously Oxycontin or Roxicodone show up the same on a drug test cause it's oxycodone. The standard (cheap) drug tests give the same positive result for all opioids (hydrocodone, oxycodone, morphine, heroin, etc.). A more precise test, like the ones they do at the olympics, will tell the exact drug, but these tests are more expensive and are not commonly used.

And to correct the preious post. adderall is amphetamine. cocaine is cocaine, it is not an amphetamine. they have very different chemical structures, and do NOT show up the same on a drug test.

Any dr who does a drug test uses a lab. I guarantee you that that lab can tell the difference between say oh vicodin and heroin and oxycodone. They do not check for the 'drug', they look for the metabolites ie what it breaks down into since that is what will actually be in your blood/piss. The drug itself is in your stomach, and maybe in your blood if you injected, but as soon as it hits the liver, its broken down into the metabolites.
So, if you take any brand of oxycodone, whether its percs or oxys, it shows up the same. As I said, any dr lab can tell the difference between any of them and give the ng/nl or dl in your blood. Its next to impossible to fool them.
They even know when the urine is : incompatible with human urine, ie fido's piss.

some doctors will use the cheap instant drug test. the lab drug tests are expensive. it depends on what you are getting the drug test for.

rememebr that drug testing is in 98% of cases an unethical invasion of privacy.

it's ok for airplance pilots, cops, etc. but these big corpoations that drug test you for your job in a cubicle; that is ridiculous, and again most americans have been brainwashed to think this is ok.

If those high paid slaves more than likely signed a contract. On the contract I'm sure it states they MUST submit to a drug test should they be asked. Same goes for people taking narcotics... Try refusing a drug test from your doctor, see how well that goes over...

Oxy doesn't come up as an opioid, heroin and morphine do. Oxy needs an oxy specific test for oxy.

Also, if your urine is tested with a GC/MS machine, they can tell the difference between different types of drugs for example if you took valium, temazapam and xanax, it can tell the difference between them all even though they are all benzos. They can tell more or less how much you have used too by the concentration levels (ng/mL) So if you're prescribed Percocet 5mg 4x a day but are taking Roxis or Oxis they'll know somethings up because 120 percs will only be 600mg of oxy total. Thats only 20 Roxis. If you're takin 5 or 6 Roxis a day or 2 or 3 OC 80s a day they'll know somethings up. You're a goood source of mis-information.

Dude, if you're a chemist, you need to brush up ;) Oxycodone is not a full opioid it's a partial and it will not flag the opioid panel on a standard panel test. You need the 12 panel test to test for oxy or an oxy specific test, same for hydro. I ran a drug testing consortium for 6 years for a trucking company.

Creatine is the substance that determines if it's human urine. Lab tests can tell exactly what drug you took, and you're right, docs use a lab....well, most do. They want the ng/mL level to tell how much you've been taking.
