Try mixing it with a drink to dilute the taste.

This is the first I have heard about the liquid getting recalled. The bottle I have now is almost gone.
They cant be recalling all the brands of liquid right? The bottles I get are made by Malli.. They cost $40 bucks at the pharmacy and I have heard from some people they can get up to $375!! on the street

I've been using the oxy liquid for 16 months. Its the nastiest thing I've ever put in my mouth. The one thing that covers flavor better than anything else is pineapple juice. Also in the instructions theres a reference to using applesauce. If you'll keep your tongue up high you wont taste much of it.
Personally I use a peppermint lifesaver about 30 seconds before I press the syringe, you can still taste it a bit, but its tolerable, and the peppermint oil will settle your stomach (lifesaver brand only). Good luck, Jim

You ppl are the reason why doctors are so reluctant to write prescriptions that ppl need to help with pain when they need it. I have two blown disks in my back and a herniated disk and currently awaiting surgery. The pain is unbarable and yet my medicine is so controlled because drug abusers like you continue to not care about anyone but themselves. Some days i need more medicine for the pain than they allow but I have to suffer because they count every single one of my meds when I go in, not to mention I'm drug tested all the time like I'm some kind of addict, when I'm in pain. I do not take the medicine to get me high. I need it. But I guess there will always be selfish people in this world. Its just sad. But go ahead and bash me all you want. I'm not the one snortin s**t up my nose or injecting it into my veins, wasting my life away trying to get the next fix. I know addiction is a disease but it's ridiculous. Realize you have a problem and get help!

If you gey a goood Dr. Then you don't have to worry about running out. I get 12 80mg a day wich is 360 a month and I usually have some left over that I save for rainy days when I need more than usual cause my neck and back will start throbbing. I also will follow it up with a couple 30mg Roxis to help with the pain since those are istnt release. Does anyone else get this much meds? Is this normal?

Is taking a full 2omg of the ohocs liquid equal to taking a 80mg pill and does that mean that the liquid is stronger and more dangerous?

I understand exactly how you feel, when I go to my doc every month I'm in a long line behind ppl who are obvious abusers n I feel embarrassed that ppl look at me like that wen I also have torn disks in my spine. I shouldn't have to feel that way, it is sad that they ruin it for honest ppl who are really in need of pain meds. I hate having to explain my pain n hoping they believe me wen I even have x reys n proof. So I know where your coming from n I don't care if they bash me either!

I am prescribed Oxycodone HCL Oral Concentrate Solution for Breakthrough Pain. I've got numerous pain causing conditions in my spine, joints, etc. I use Morphine Sulfate ER for chronic pain control. The Oxycodone HCL Oral Concentrate Solution comes in 30 ml bottles at a concentrate of 20 mg/ml with a dispenser to carefully measure dosage. My doctor prescribes 1 ml containing 20 mg of the solution for BP. Thus, I have 30 doses in a bottle that costs about $24.00. When I have a bad episode of BP, I put 1 ml in a little fruit juice to drink. One is not supposed to put the solution undiluted in the mouth in any manner. In any event, within 10 to 15 minutes my episode of BP is completely under control. I find this medication works much better for BP than does the MSIR 30 mg tablets. Hopefully, this information will be of some use to chronic pain patients reading this blog.

It is plainly stated in the prescribing information that you should not put the undiluted solution in your mouth. You are supposed to mix it with about an ounce of fruit juice and then dring the mixture.

I have had 3 spine surgeries and still have chronic continous pain. I have been taking pain meds for so long that I have built quite a tolerance. I am currently taking 12 10/325 Hydrocodone APAP, 8 hydromorphone 8 mg and 9 40 mg oxycodone daily. At night I have been taking the Oxycodone liquid. I have taken up to 12ml of the liquid in a dose and felt no releif. I recently switched from the liquid to the 30 mg roxifast instead of the liquid. My insurance will not cover anymore oxycodone tha hat daily. They also do not pay for 80mg Oxycontin tablets only the 40 mg. Even taking these meds I still am in pain at any time that I am on my feet. ANyone out there have similar constant pain that ges releif from there meds? At least some pain free hours? WHat is your med regimen?

Listen ass you all think your better than us who got hooked on this shit, well 90% of us got like this from our doctors!! Ya its hard for a lot of people who are in real pain to get stuff now but its for the better or guess what,if the docs gave it out like thay did before than you all would turn dependent on meds also! so in a way docs are learning from there mistakes and its for you own good assssssssssssss

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Scorpio

It's a frustrating and rather disappointing day because you have to cope with delays and setbacks to your plans. A travel arrangement may have to be postponed or there could be a hitch about something connected with education. You're also feeling subdued and tired, and you're longing to spend some time on your own although this may not be possible. Don't worry, this difficult mood will soon blow over.
