hey im currently using suboxone as a short term detox off oxycodone has anyone else done this?or is anyone else doing it currently?

Hello I am currently also doing a short term sub taper. I was using about 240mgs oxy a day. Today is my 7th day on sub. I have taken a total of 2 subs this whole time and are down to 1mg at night. I'm very lethargic but other than that have very lil wd so far. How ab u?

HEY coco i was doing 120 mg of oxycodone a day weaned myself down over a month too 30 too 60 mgs a day today is my seventh day on suboxone i started at 4 mg did that for 3 days then went tooo 2 mg for 3 days and am currently taking 1 mg as of yesterday i want too make my jump off sub by next friday by that time i will be taking minimal amount of suboxone and i dont think the withdrawl is gonna be that bad ive done cold turkey before from 120mgs a day of oxy and it was hell i didnt sleep more than a hour a day for 3 weeks it was hell soo this way has got too be a way better plan ive only got eight 8mg suboxones too do this with but we are almost there in another week or two we will be completely opiate free i really want too talk too you somemore because we are doing exzactly the same thing at the same time keep me posted take care

Hello i don't really know how to get to that other post bc i'm on my phone maybe I will try harder tommorow. Today is day 8 since I started sub and I've gone the last 48 hours without suboxone. So far so good. Other than lethary and the occassion goosebumps everything is great. How u doin?

please be careful. I was put on subs for detox reasons and i did everything my doc said to do but when it came to stop taking sub i realized that the w/d from subs is super severe and it almost killed me. YOu cannot detox quick off subs. they are super potent. please be careful.

dont listen too him coco suboxone is meant too be used as a short term detox medicine not for maintenance long term and its not gonna kill you i dont know where this guy came from you might have a few sleepless nights thats about it i hate it when people just want too put fear into people and make them worry,on the other forum suboxone withdrawl how bad there is 3 or 4 people in different stages of quittting suboxone and its not that bad and they were on it for 3 too 4 yrs and they didnt even have that bad a time of coming off it just dont listen too this guy look at his screen name its all right there he says im soo bored(lol) what a moron hes soo bored hes on here trying too worry people trying too get clean and telling them they could die from quitting suboxone get a life dude and leave us alone we are headed in the right direction and are gonna be clean and opiate free in a matter of days soo if your soo bored go somewhere else and leave us alone

coco there is a girl named christy in the other forum she just recently quit suboxone after being on it for 3 1/2 yrs she had 1 bad night that was it and that 1 bad night she still slept a little bit its been a little over a week for her and shes almost back at 100% so its not that bad there are also hundreds of sucess stories from people doing the same exzact thing we are doing professional detox centers detox people every day with short term use of suboxone 7 too 10 days i just hate it when people talk shit like this guy just ignore him

try quitting oxycodone from a high dose i did it from 120 mgs a day too nothing and that is really bad i really did think i was gonna die then trust me this way is the only way too go take care coco shoot me an e-mail

anyways your story of the chick who was on the subs for 3 and half years probably cut down from 8mg sub to 2mg subs and did it within the 3.5 years. She didn't just quit one day idiot. Read your own post about how she was on them for that long and stopped. I bet she tapered down over a long period. Call your dr and ask him. If your taking the low dose 2mg sub and you stop taking them quickly you will probably be sick a lil bit and probably have a couple of bad days but you will be okay, that is right. If your on the 8mg subs and stop rapidly, yes you will have very bad days and you will feel so sick you might have respitory problems. This is exactly the info i was givin and stories iv heard from groups that i went to with people on them. not some guy who goes to forums claiming to give people info that can hurt them.

yes she did taper down did you taper when you claim you almost died?and also there is people in the other forum that have quit from 4 mg i didnt mean too offend you its just that we are only using it as a short term detox for just a few days i have already tapered down too 1 mg and by this friday i will be at .50 or less of a mg so it will not be a problem i just didnt want you scaring coco because we are very happy too being on our way too a clean and opiate free life you didnt say in your post that you jumped off at 8mg if that was the case im sure you did feel like you were gonna die,and that wasnt the info you gave, you didnt say you jumped off at 8mgs of sub you said you used it for detox reasons followed the doctors orders and when it came time too quit the sub you almost died,did your doctor tell you too jump off the subs at 8mgs i dont think soo you need too be a little more clear on your posts thats what made me mad

dude blow a goat. Im not a "doped addik" whatever you say. I swear some people. I have way nicer things than you'll ever have in your life. Just cause i have taken pain meds for a bullet thats still in my leg doesn't mean im your whatever lil name you called me. yeah it got out of hand and my meds are out so i would love some but that doesn't make you any better. For someone like you to give the advice you do and to call a person out makes you look like a moron. You should just keep your advice to a minimum to people cause its not right and you will hurt someone or cause them to be in pain. Nobody should ever read your post.
